The Second Trial:
The two human knights followed Olithir from the dungeon and around the castle to the court room. It was a very grand castle. Defently one of the most beautiful ones in Canondial. It was bigger on the inside than it looked outside. The rooms were grander and richer. No one spoke as they walked through the halls and upstairs -until, finally they stopped outside the court room and Olithir turned to them and said,
"Good luck" then he led them into the room, all the way up to the platform and then took his own seat at the court. When the humans laid their eyes on the elven royals their minds were blown. All of them were perfect. They were afraid to speak. The queen was by far the most beautiful women either of them had ever seen. The elves were talking among themselves and no one seemed to be listening to what they were saying, even if they had of been listening, the humans would not have understood. They were speaking in their tongue."Your names, please" asked the queen, turning her piercing green eyes on the humans.
The two humans looked at each other, communicating through looks and agreeing that they properly had no chance at all.
"Eden De Ireby" said the first, bowing his head as a sign of respect.
"Gawin Lallement" said the second also bowing his head. They stood facing the royals, hands behind their back, back straight, heads up.
The elves all turned to each other and nodded. There was a long pause before the next question was asked, as if they weren't sure what to say.
"Which kingdom is it that you come from, Eden and Gawin?"
"The Evergreen kingdom of the East, your majesty" replied Eden.
"We don't normally allow humans to have a trial but after speaking to Kaylessa, that elven girl we caught you with, I had to speak to you two first" the queen explained. She was being polite and calm.
"Where is she? Is she okay?" Gawin questioned, stepping forward but being careful not put a foot on the platform.
"You do not speak unless you have been asked a question!" The kings voice bounced off the walls and scared most of the other elves. "Also her fate is of no business to you at this moment, considering that there is a high chance you will never see her again."
Eden and Gawin apolaigzed and took a few steps back from the platform, to distance theirselves from the elves. They took deep breaths and tried to stay calm, of course they were worried that they would be killed but they were also trying to not look scared; they were doing very well at the last bit.
"Did she help you find your way onto elven land?" Asked the king, they knew that she didn't but they had to ask. If they would betray her then they would betray anyone.
"No, sh-she wanted us to leave" Gawin answered, stepping forward again. "Your majesties, she did not want to help us. She was about to leave when the knights rode over and carried us away.
"You confirm this, Eden?" asked the queen, her eyes shinning in the light that beamed in through the windows.
