~Next Day~
~Valerie~

I got up at around 6, and I got dressed in a nice outfit. I already called Esme last night that Anna won't be over, and Uncle Charles is planning to head over to the school to talk to the Princple.

Right now, I am cuddling Anna while watching a show on TV. Then I hear my phone ring, I tell Anna that I would be in the kitchen if she needed me.

As soon as I got to the kitchen, I answer the call.

"Hello, this is Valerie."

"Hey Valerie, I thought to call to check up on you and Anna." I smile knowing who it is.

"Well, Thank you Damien. That is sweet of you, but you know what I want to hear." I tell him with a smirk on my face.

I hear Damien chuckle, "Always to the point, that is the Valerie I know. Now, the Faey elders are wondering why you haven't shown up to any of the meetings. They are thinking something happened to you, like someone murdered you." Damien said before continuing.

"People are actually blaming your parents, which is good because the Faey elders hated your parents for a very long time. So they just needed that piece of info to put your parents in jail, now they just need to find your parents." My eyes widens.

"Wait! They can't find my parents!" I yell into the phone, but I tried to keep it quiet. I put my hand over my mouth, then I shut my eyes tightly.

'They can't find us! They can't.....' I take a deep breath to calm myself down.

"Do they have an idea where they could possible be?" I ask Damien hoping he might have an idea.

"Sadly, no we don't but you may want to call Charles and tell him the situation." Damien tells me. I nod my head agreeing.

"Momma?" I hear a quiet voice coming from the doorway of the kitchen.

I turn my head to see Anna, holding her pink teddy bear tightly.

"Damien, I am going to have to call you back."

"Wait Valerie!-" I end the call and I walk over to Anna. I bend down to her level, "What's wrong, Sweetie?"

"Are Grandma and Grandpa going to get us?" Anna asked me with tears in her eyes.

"No sweetie, they won't. Uncle Charles and Damien are making sure of that, I promise you." I say hugging her tightly against my chest.

I think for a second, "Hey Anna?"

She looks up at me, "Hmm?"

I smile down at her, "Do you want to watch Frozen?"

Soon her face becomes bright, "Yes, Momma!"

I giggle at her, "Alright, let's go watch Frozen."

~Esme~

'I wonder why Valerie did not go to school today? Is she sick?'

"Dear, your pacing again." I hear Carlisle say to me.

I sigh, "I am just worried for Valerie. I mean, I can tell that she is battling through something but I can't tell what it is. Even Emmett felt something off about Valerie, and she is his mate."

Carlisle stands up from his reading chair, puts down his book and walks over to me.

"I know you are worried, but she is her own person. She deserves to have her privacy, besides she might be in school tomorrow." Carlisle tells me calming me down.

I sigh knowing he is right, "Alright, but I am going to tell Emmett to at least talk to her." I tell him smiling.

"I wouldn't have it any other way."

~Valerie POV~

After watching Frozen, I look at Anna.

"Anna, I am giving you permission to let your wings unfold." I tell her waiting to help her unfold her wings.

It has been awhile since, we were able to unfold our wings and let them stretch. I smile as Anna's face lights up, like a kid on Christmas morning.

"Really!"

I giggle with a hand over my mouth, "Yes, you can."

We both get up from the couch, and I close all of the window curtains and cover up the rest of the window. We walk up the stairs towards Anna's room. I help her get a tank top, then I help her get her wings unfolded.

Anna's wings are two times smaller than my own wings, her wing color is between pink and purple with a cool butterfly design on the top of her left wing.

The color of our wings, is based on our personality colors. Like mine is a mixed of red and purple, Red is the color of anger, and purple is the color of loyalty. I get angry at times, and I am loyal to many people.

Now Anna's personality, since her wings are pink and purple. So Pink means she is very kind to people and is very happy all of the time. She is also very loyal to people she knows.

Once we got her tank top on, I smile and I let Anna go downstairs to play. I walk over to my room to grab a regular t-shirt for me and for Anna just in case someone comes over to visit.

Once I get to the last step, the doorbell rings. My eyes widen, I look through the peek hole to see Esme, Alice, and Emmett.

I curse myself at how stupid of a time to let our wings out.
"Just one minute" I yell out to them.

"Anna, come here!" I whisper/yell at Anna.

She quickly comes over, I drape over her shirt, being careful of her wings. You see, we can't pull back our wings back into our bodies when we want to. We have a time limit that we have to fill before our wings go back in, so we buy xl clothes because of this reason.

I put my shirt over my wings, and I open the door with a smile on my face.

"Hey guys! What's up?" I asked them. They all smile at me, Esme comes up to me first.

"Valerie, may we come in?" She asked me.

"Sure, come on in. But please head to the kitchen first, I have to check up on Anna. She is not feeling the greatest." I tell them. They nod their heads and head into the kitchen.

I quickly open the door to the living room, and Anna is sitting on the couch watching Tangled.

I smile at her before walking over to Anna, "Anna, there are people over. So just stay here and watch the movie, okay. And want do you want to snack on?" I asked her.

Anna looks over at me, "I want some gummy bears!" I giggle at her, and I kiss her forehead.

"Okay, I will go grab them real quick." I tell her as I exist the living room. I head into the kitchen, I see them sitting at my dinning table.

"Would you like anything to drink? Something to eat?" I asked them as I feel Emmett staring at me. It felt good for him to stare at me, I feel safe under his graze.

"No, I believe we are good. How is Anna?" Esme says to me.

"She is sick for sure, but she is a tough little girl. She can get through it, she is watching Tangled in the living room." I say as I get her gummy bears ready.

Soon Alice stands up, "May I take them to her, Valerie?"

I turn my head to look at her, then I lower my head to look at my hands. Then immediately I look up at her with a smile, "Sure, you can Alice."

Alice smiles and walks over to me, and I hand her to bowl. Soon her and Esme leaves the room, that just leaves Emmett and me.

'This is going to be interesting.'
