~A week later~
~Valerie~

"They are almost here, be ready everyone." Alice warns us.

Emmett stands next to me, anxious for the battle. He reaches over to me and grips my hand tightly, squeezing it to reassure himself that I am here.

"I love you Valerie."

"I love you too, Emmett."

Then the newborns enter the battlefield in full force, and we are ready for them.

I run full force holding my arm out, knocking a few newborns down to the ground. I quickly tear off the heads of each newborn I take out.

I look around the field trying to find a new target, Then I set my eyes on a few newborns that is on top of a grayish wolf. I run full speed over to the wolf, I grab the newborns and tearing their heads off in the process.

I lock eyes with the wolf, and we nod to each other. As the wolf runs off to fight some more, I hear a rustling sound coming from behind me.

I whip my head around to see a newborn girl, around the age of 16 to 17.

As I look at her, she hides behind a dead tree. I follow her crimson eyes as she looks around the field, almost like she is frightened.

"It's okay." I speak out softly and smoothly.

She locks eyes with me, and she hides her face behind the dead tree again.
"Easy, there. I won't hurt you as long as you don't hurt me, okay?"

She peeks out from behind the tree, and she just looks at me.
"What's your name, sweetheart?"

"B-Bree." She says stuttering.

I give her a warm smile,
"Hello Bree, my name is Valerie."

She gives me a light smile back,
"Hi, Valerie. Why are you not hurting me?"

"Because, you look frightened about the fighting. So I believe you would not hurt me, besides you look like you feed already. So that means you won't hurt me." I say to her moving slightly close to her.

Soon I hear footsteps behind me, I turn my head to see Carlisle and Esme looking at Bree.
"She is not going to hurt you, she looks harmless. Bree, this is Carlisle and Esme." I say introducing Carlisle and Esme.

Carlisle moves up to stand next to me, and he speaks kindly to Bree.
"Bree, May I ask you some questions?"

Bree nods,
"But, I want Valerie to stay here. She reminds me of someone I knew. If that is okay?"

I give her a smile,
"I would be happy to, but how about we move a little bit. Is that okay?"

Bree nods and slowly walks out fully from behind the dead tree. I reach out my hand to let her take, as she looks at my hand. She looks frightened,
"It's okay, I won't hurt you. I promise."

She puts her hand in mine, and I lead her over to the group. I can see that Emmett is tense,
"Emmett, she is fine. She has been controlling her thrist, very well."

I stand next to Bree, with Emmett behind me. As Carlisle gets the answers we needed, Alice goes into a vision.

"The Volturi are coming." She says coming out of her vision with Jasper by her side.

Emmett wraps her arm around my waist, as we wait for the Volturi. Then Edward and Bella showed up, as we light the newborns bodies up in flames.

"How long?" Edward asked Alice.

"A few minutes." Alice replies.

"The wolves need to go, the Volturi doesn't want to deal with them." Edward says as he looks at the wolves.

Then what happens next went by so fast that I only heard Jacob whimper in pain, quickly as I could. I race over to Jacob, and using my Faey magic. I ease the pain, so it can be bearable.

I put my hand on his forehead, then I lower down his temperature. Carlisle and Bella races over, I turn my head to look at Carlisle.

"I ease down the pain he is feeling, so he can bear through it." I tell him letting Carlisle look at Jacob.

Bella looks over at me with a grateful smile, I nod my head with a smile on my face. As I was going to get up, I feel a hand grab my wrist.

I turn my head to see that Jacob grab my wrist.
"T-Thank you...."

I give him a light smile back before I see a group of men that look like they got a tan.
I look down at Jacob before,
"Just get better, okay?"

He nods before we back up, and let the men gently take him and leave the field.

I quickly race back to Emmett, before I see four black cloak figures walk up from the trees. Emmett wraps his arm around my waist, as I lean into his chest a little scared.

As soon as I saw them, I knew who they were.

The Volturi...

A coven that has overlooked the vampire race for millions of years and maybe more. They also kill anyone who tells a human about vampires.

"Impressive. I have never seen a coven survive a assault like this and live." A blonde haired girl says as she scans us over.

"We were lucky." Carlisle replies.

"Doubt that." The blonde snaps back.

"Seems we missed a interesting fight." A brown haired boy who is standing next to the blonde girl says.

"Yes, was it fun?" The blonde asked.

She scans us til her eyes fall over me, then she gets a smirk on her face.
"You must be Valerie, am I correct?"

I nod my head,
"Yes, ma'am you are correct."

The blonde girl smirks,
"Our Master Aro, would very much like to meet you."

"Well, I hope to meet him as well." I reply back to her.

Then she looks behind me, and sees Bree.
"You missed one."

Jasper quickly walks up next to Bree, and I hold her hand.

"She helped us find the culprit and she did not attack us, so I gave her a choice to let her live." Carlisle says to the blonde.

"That was not yours to offer." The blonde snaps back.

"Who are you? Why have you come?" The blonde questions Bree.

When Bree did not answer, Bree screams out in pain. I kneel next to her, and then she flinches like she can feel the pain.

"Stop! She can tell you what you want to know." I hear Esme say.

"I know." The blonde says smirking.
