Chapter 04

Chapter 04:

"Nee-sama, Amy learned the four major principles!" Amory excitedly asserted while holding up four fingers, proudly. The Amellian Princess then puffed out her chest with her balled hands on her pelvis waiting for Adira's praise.

'She looks too adorable!' Adira distinguished this and smiled, ruffling the red strands on the young girl's head. "Wow Amy! That's amazing and you only turned three two months ago!"

For Amellians, they were be born with the innate ability to open and close their aura nodes and usually awakened it at the tender age of three. To them it was like learning how to sit up, crawl, talk or walk. And of course there would exceptions with early bloomers and late bloomers which were highly rare occurrences. 

For early bloomers, the earliest recorded in this generation had been a child in the womb which had been the kingdom's First Crown Prince, Caelan Adler. To be exact, many early bloomers came from the royal family and from several old high ranking noble families. Adira too, was an early bloomer, awakening the innate ability of the closing and opening of aura nodes at the age of one. 

For late bloomers, they were even rarer than early bloomers with an 1% chance of happening. Late bloomers would be those who awakened it at the ages of four and five. Usually these late bloomers were shunned by the Amellian society. 

Then after the children learned how to open and close their aura nodes, the pre-school they attended would teach them the four principles of nen in a class called 'Nen Education'. Or they could be taught by a personal instructor which would usually be highly opted by rich people, nobles and the royals of the Adler Family.

"Show me Ten." Even though the bracelet which her mother had given her sealed her nen, Adira was still highly sensitive to it.

Amory completely opened her aura nodes, keeping her aura from leaking from her body. It enshrouded her small physique.

Adira could sense that her Ten wasn't quite smooth, but it was okay since Amory had only started learning two months ago. The blonde knew that the redhead would surely have a smooth flow of Ten before she became the age in which she could attend primary school (the age of four was the eligible age for those to enroll in primary school in the Amell Kingdom). 

The teal eyed ten year old later instructed her to do the other principles and the three year old had easily done so.

"Look at that, you weren't fibbing." Adira stated teasingly as she softly pulled Amory's plump cheeks after the Amellian had demonstrated Zetsu, Ren and Hatsu. 

Amory puffed out her cheeks, pouting. "Nee-sama, you didn't believe Amy when she first told you!"

"Of course, I did." Adira answered.

"Really?"Amory queried.

"Really." The blonde replied, nodding her head.

"Then good!" 

"Oh, I guess you can have these toys since I haven't opened them up yet." Adira had walked over, opened and looked into her immense toy box, pulling out all of the toys she had yet to open. On the boxes of the toys had ages 3+ which meant to play with them, a child would have to use their nen. 

Amory's teal eyes sparkled as the pile of toys got higher and higher. "Nee-sama, can Amy really have your toys you haven't even played with?"

"It's not that I haven't played with them, I just didn't play with the ones in the boxes. Usually, I am always given a pair of the same toys." Adira informed. "So you can have all of them, Amy. No need to hold back." She gently patted the Amellian Princess' head.

Amory smiled, throwing her arms around Adira. "Nee-sama, you're the bestest in the entire world! Thank you!!!" She kissed her cheek.

"No problem!" Adira cuddled the three year old in her arms. She solemnly lowered her teal eyes onto Amory. 'This innocence... will she soon lose it, because of the place she lives in? It would be better than her dying because of those women schemes. But...' 

At the age of seven, she had saved soon to due Concubine Nancy and she had easily given birth to Amory. Nancy had allowed her to hold newborn Amory. When she had done so, the redhead infant had tightly clung onto her thumb. The blonde didn't want this three year old to lose the innocence in her teal eyes. 'Amy, wait for nee-sama to become stronger, I will surely protect you no matter what.' She thought. These hands of hers that had been already dyed in countless of people's blood; she would taint them even further to protect the ones she loved.

 The Amellian Princess felt the arms around her got tighter. She couldn't lift her head upwards to see the look on Adira's face. "Nee-sama if something is wrong, tell Amy! Amy will surely help you!"

She released the redhead and smiled. "Don't worry. It's nothing Amy."

Amory furrowed her eyebrows. She knew that Adira had told a lie, but decided not to delve in further. At times like these, her mother and Adira were just alike, keeping things away from her. 

But even though she was only three, she knew the two kept things away from her was to protect her. The redhead had even deduced that her mother did not come here due to her naggings of wanting to play with Adira, but it was to ask Adira's mother, Charisse Drake for help in protecting her. 

This was why she had to get stronger, so she wouldn't have to worry her mother and Adira. Amory had thought that showing the girl with dark blonde hair and teal eyes that she learned the principles, that she would worry less about her, but it seemed like she had accomplished nothing. What did she expect? Her mother hadn't showed less concern when she had learned them. The three year old girl sighed.
