Lea's POV:
At four o'clock I had already finished more homework than necessary, rebandaged my hand and slid five of the coloured rubber bands onto my wrist.
I left the house and jogged through the never ending rain and thick fog to my car.
It was really hard to see anything on the road, because of the fog.
I decided to drive slowly as I squinted to see the road.
Suddenly I saw a pair of headlights coming around a bend.
The car had taken the bend to fast and now came barreling straight towards me.
I sat there frozen for a second, before I tried to swerve out of the other car's way.
It was too late, though.
The car crashed into the right front side of my car, pushing it off the road.
I felt my head hit the windscreen as the car started to roll down the small, steep hill, that I've never noticed before.
When the car finally stopped, I was laying on the passenger door, which was now facing the ground.
My whole body hurt as I tried to sit up. There was a sickening snap in my arm when I fell back down on it.
Then everything went black.
My last thought before I passed out was of Archer and our first kiss this morning...

Archer's POV:
I sat at the bar in Mickey's, thrumming my fingers on the counter top.
Lea was really late. Like a hour late. Everyone was here, except for her.
I took a sip from my second beer and glanced to the clock again.
That's it. I'll just go to her house to see what was going on.
I stood up, just as I heard the sirens of an ambulance racing past the bar.
I knew something was wrong then and I knew it was Lea.
I raced out of Mickey's as my phone rang. It was my dad.
I quickly answered, as I jumped into my truck, gunning it to life.
"What, Dad?", I asked.
"It's Lea. She... She's been in an accident. They took her to hospital. It's not looking too good.", he said.
I felt as if my heart was being ripped out of my chest. I was going to lose her.
My dad waited for a response, but I couldn't answer.
So I just ended the call and drove to the hospital as fast as I could through the fog.
As soon as I had parked my truck, I was out, sprinting towards the hospital.
I saw her mom and my dad standing outside the emergency room, my dad was trying to comfort Lea's mom.
It must be worse than I thought.
I slowed down as I neared them. Neither of them even looked at me.
We ended up sitting on the chairs outside the emergency room, just waiting for any bit of news on how Lea was.
Of course everyone soon knew about the accident and I had my hands full, trying to get everyone to leave us alone and go home.
After a while it was quiet again and we went on waiting.
At some point I must have fallen asleep, because the next thing I know, someone was shaking me by the shoulder.
"Archer, wake up. Lea's out of surgery.", It was my dad.
I sat up with a start and looked around. "Where is she?", I asked.
I was desperate to see her again.
"She's in I.C.U. Her mom's already there, come on.", my dad said, pulling me up.
My legs felt stiff from the long hours of waiting, as I walking beside my dad.
"How is she?", I asked. I had know, so that I knew what to expect.
"She's pretty bad. Stitches everywhere, broken arm, fractured knuckles on her left hand, cracked ribs, bruises everywhere you look, cracked skull and a concussion. Doctors say she's lucky to be alive.", he says.
Just then we reached Lea's room.
I walked in and looked at her, a knot forming in my throat and tears pricking my eyes.
She was covered in bandages. There were a bunch machines next to the bed, keeping her alive.
I walked over to her mom and sat down next to her.
"They say the coma could last for months. There's no telling if she'll even ever wake up again.", her mom broke off in a sob.
I could feel my own cheeks become wet as the tears rolled from my eyes.
My dad was comforting her again, but there was no one to comfort me.
I moved my chair closer to Lea's bed and gently took her hand.
I placed her hand against my lips and shut my eyes, allowing the tears to run freely down my face.
"Please come back.", I whisper, wishing she could hear me somehow.
After an hour or so, a nurse came in and told me and my dad we had to leave.
My dad just nodded and I stood up, taking a last look at Lea's unconscious form before walking out of the room.
I would be back tomorrow and every other day till she woke up again.
And when she woke up, I was going to tell her exactly how I felt about her.
I was going to protect her against everything that wanted to hurt her.
I was going to protect her with my life. I'd swear to it.
Hi everyone. Sorry for the short chapter. But the next chapter is totally gonna make up for it. So? Were your guesses right? Any guesses as to what happens next. Let me know. Till next time.✌
