Chapter Five ; Coward's Luck(2)

May and Ivory are both sitting in the table with a dejected face.

"Do you think he forcefully take those jewel back?" May voice tremble.

Ivory has a dark face.
"Not forcing.No one will object what he decide to take.Even if a daughter of the household they can be very happy as to offer themselves let alone jewel."

May felt the severity of the situation.

"But...But the young misses of those household might be reluctant to let go of your jewelries.They are really expensive and rare.I believe that when they learned about this...Miss,should we escape the Sun Kingdom tonight?" May has a grave appearance.
She is not thinking at first and her heart sway toward the unfeeling man with gratitude but that man unintentionally is digging their grave for them.

"Even though we run,where can we run? You are a second rank practitioner and I'm a trash that has no fighting ability.Even an infant beast can kill us both let alone a full grown demon beast."

The Sun Kingdom is encircled with forest all four corner. And those forest contain demon beast of all ranks.

"We should stay hidden in the manor in case anything happens."

"Naive...That's so Naive May.Those people will surely not let us alone even if we hand over the jewelry back to them.For them,I'm using Freak."

"What I can't understand is how that man suddenly show interest toward you,Miss."

"Tell me about it.I'm as puzzled as you. I'm so sick to be associated with him.Who tells him to be too influential?"

"What are we going to do now?"
May stands up and pace left and right in panic.

"There is one thing and the only thing we can do." Ivory says with determined voice.

May stands still and look at her Miss.

"What can we do Miss?"

In the morning,as expected,alot of young misses of a noble family are in front of Eldan Manor.

"Good morning.Is there anything you need in our manor?" May ask cluelessly but if you look closely sweats are forming in her forehead. Her smile is sweet but if you look closely,it's just a stiff curve in her mouth.

"Where is Ivory? How dare her ask Brother Ken to retrieved the jewelry that he already gift us?" The chubby young miss says hands on her hips.
Her oily lips are pouting and the water showering from her mouth luckily didn't land on May's face.

"What? What do you mean?" May ask puzzled on what is happening.

"You cannot fool us.After going to our houses collecting your things Brother Ken went to your manor.How dare you ask him to do your errand?"

May showed a great surprise in her face.
"Shh...shh.. Please be quiet. What if Lord Ken heard such rumor? What if Lady Violet misunderstood such nonsense? It's true Lord Ken come to our manor but it's to deliver food and nothin else."

"Hmp. Who are you fooling? "
Another Miss says angrily.

"What is happening?" A newly awaken Ivory showed up.

"Hmp! We know what you did. Tell us how did you convince Brother Ken to help you?"
An angry voice arise from the crowd.

Ivory look shock.
"If you already knew then why are you asking Sisters? The kind Brother Ken gave us food because he pity us.Do we really has to be questioned like this for food?" Ivory almost choke and she wipe the tears in her face.

The angry mob that is 100% sure that it's Ivory who tells Ken to get back her jewelry now shaken and not too sure anymore.

"My Sisters,you should not be too unfamiliar with how Brother Ken treats me.Even though I've been his fiancée for all my life,he won't think twice when he throw me out of Sister Violet's Manor.How can an unimportant person like me order a godly creature like Brother Ken? Did I suddenly has such luck?" A grieve and pain showed in Ivory's face and her beautiful face is distort from crying.

Suddenly the crowd recalled the cold treatment Ivory received from Ken.
He never really associate too much with this woman.
How can someone like him be ordered by this girl to run him an errand?
Some felt ashamed but some are not yet convince.

"If you claim that he didn't gave the jewelry back to you,then why did brother send you food? Did he suddenly become close enough to you to care if you are eating or not?"

Curses.
I wanted to know too how this happens.

"Brother Ken,he takes pity on me. And the reason's on behalf of Sister's Violet's action.I met them yesterday and I apologize to Sister's Violet.Sister Violet is kind enough to forgive me and invited me to her birthday. Seeing how kind Sister Violet to me,Brother Ken asked me if there is something he can help me as we have a past so to say.And I asked him to give me food.Who knows he will be kind enough to deliver it himself.I'm just blessed enough to be reconcile with them."

The crowd went silent.
Totally been convinced.
Ofcourse,because no one in their heart believe that someone like Ivory has the right to be close with Ken and that even if she requested they believe a god like person like Ken won't listen to her.

"Why are we waisting time here? It's impossible for Brother Ken to care for such a trash!" One finally said what everyone's came up with.

"Right.Right.Such mistake.Im so ashamed as to suspect Brother Ken.It's truly impossible."

"True.I feel like we've been stired and to mistake Brother's kindness for a trash."

"Hmp.I hope you won't have any idea with Brother just because he showed you kindness once. Brother deserve someone like Sister Violet who is equally talented!"
A dandy girl spout before the group disappeared.
The two,Mistress and Maid are bowing their heads and accepting all taunts and swearing with open arms not denying or contradicting.

"Miss..They are finally gone." May lift her head and her whole face is full of sweat.
She never lied like this before.

"See.I told you.We only have to grit our teeth and deny everything and they will quit interrogating us.Hoho.Luckily, I still have a devil's luck.I'm prepared to be kicked and slap but no one dared touch us." Ivory's face lit up and her face wash with tears brighten.

May sigh.
"If only Master and Madam are here.You won't have to lie and no one will dare to question you."

Ivory sigh.
"How can you always find a words to dampen your mood? Father and Mother are already in heaven.Do not always calls there name or else they will visit you at night."

"Eh? Mistress!!!"

"Haha..They might actually take you for a stroll in heaven.Be careful."

"Miss you are too much!" May almost cried and followed pursuit the running Miss.

In a tree branch infront of the Eldan Manor,a handsome young man saw the whole event. He has emotionless expression but he admiringly smile toward Ivory with approval.
Unknowingly, a black cloth man appear behind the young man.

"Sire,we have seen our enemy's movement.What is your order?"

The smile on the young man disappeared and his unfeeling eyes sharpen.
"Monitor them.We won't move yet "

"Yes." The black robe man didn't ask question and just accept his new mission and disappeared again.

"It seems that the choice to sleep here is not wrong. I owe Miss Eldan a favor of showing me a good show." The arrogance in his word is evident but his handsome face lit up before he himself disappeared without a trace.
