Part~Six..
Suddenly opening my eyes, I found myself in a corn field, metallic strands of yellow floated in the silent breeze, each element of grain making up each and every stem that broke out of the soil. Surrounded by a sea of gold, I gazed into the distance for sign of civilisation but all that was discovered was a small country cottage. A dark, ash grey arose from the entrapment of the chimney and seemed to journey into the heavens.
Not long after I found myself on the old wooden porch knocked quietly at the door. Not long after a young man opened the door, his hair a dusty, chestnut brown and his eyes, a natural blue. He was fitted in a crisp, white shirt with a dark, unique green waist coat and a piece of straw pierced between his lips.
"umm..hello, can I help you?"
"Yes! I need your help,"
As soon as my explanation hit him, he gestured me through the door way into his small cottage. As an educated young women, I was not used to seeing the home of a country boy although i found it strangely fascinating. Old, pine beams were structured across the ceiling, a part of a unique frame work, holding the house together. The flooring looked untouched and raw with splinters and blemishes, cut from the human hands. There was little furniture but the effort to make the small cabinets was seen from a mile off, when touched you could imagine the large tree, tumbling to the floor, hear the snapping of the wood and a small cutting tool and feel the trucks force as it hits the soil.
"You look mesmerised miss?"
In all honestly I was; the unique character of each area of his home to be seen by the human eye was enchanting. I was bought back to childhood fairy tales, with wooden huts, fairies and unicorns, living here would be like being entrapped in a book.
As I entered the real world again I turned around to find the young man resting his elbow on one of the counters, casually resting his body weight as he watched me exploring his home.
"So miss, what do you want help with?" he smirked.
I brushed the dust off my dress and finally placed one hand in the other.
"First of all you may call me Jane and may I know your name?" I asked.
"The name's William...Jane,"
"You may or may not believe me on this," I said calmly. "But I come from the future,"
William simply raised one eye in response, almost as if he saw me as a lunatic.
"You don't believe me?!" I snapped sternly,
"Miss...Jane" he corrected "I will believe what you want believe,"
"Don't tease me William...Sir"
His weight distribution then became equal as he took his weight off his arm and onto his legs. Then all of a sudden I felt my mood unease as he slowly stepped closer to me until we were at touching distance.
"So, tell me why this so called time traveller is at my house?" William asked.
At such an annoying charm, I smiled,
"Well sir, first of all I need to know where I am,"
"You are in my house Jane,"
"I am obviously in your house sir but I need to know the place in which you live?" I attempted again.
"I live in my Home," He stated looking smugly directly into my eyes. I screwed up my face and firmly poked his chest,
"Tell me or ill leave!"
"Leave then miss," he smiled again.
Even though I felt my blood boiling and my heart almost exploding, I was strangely amused by his stubborn and ignorant behaviour.
"Fine," I snapped, taking myself to the door hoping that he would stop me although I didn't hear a single word from him. I stopped and turned to face him again as he continued to smirk at me.
"You are so frustrating!"
