Chapter 6

Katie's POV-

"I-I would um....."

I stood there looking at Ashton. Starring into his eyes, tracing over his beautiful facial features. His eyes have a little sparkle to them. He has hope. His face still smiling perfectly with the roses & chocolates standing there waiting for my answer. He looks so beautiful. My idol, my idol is asking me on a date. The one I fell in love with when he got in the band. The one I always talk about how his arms move to the beat to play those drums. His million faces he makes, the way he sweats & giggles. The one I thought would never notice me. Now here I am with him asking me on a date. I'm standing here speechless.

I grab the roses & chocolates, set them down slowly on the table. I run to Ashton & hug him. Surprised by my moves he finally hugs me back.

"Yes. Yes I would." I whispered into Ashton's ear earning one of his cute laughs from him.

"For a second I thought you were going to say no." He smiles.

"Oh come on Irwin." I said pulling away from the hug.

"You know from the beginning you were my favorite, my sunshine & you thought I was going to say no? You've got be out of your head." I said laughing.

"Eh-well-uh, do you like the stuff I bought you?" Ashton asked.

"I love them Ash. Thank you. So where are we going for our date?" I smile curiously.

"It's a surprise. Our date will be tomorrow." He said.

Tomorrow? Is this boy crazy? I don't have that much time to actually pick an outfit. What am I going to wear? Where are we going? I'm already overthinking.

"Ashton. How am I suppose to know what to wear?" I asked.

"Wear something simple & comfy." He said with a wink.

"What time are you picking me up?" I ask too much questions.

"Around 6 in the afternoon. I'll be right out your door waiting." He said with a goofy smile.

"Okay! I'm going to go talk to Amber." I said turning around ready to walk away but Ashton stopped me.

"Wait Katie!"

"Yes?" I asked.

"Never mind." he said.

So I left Ashton and went to go find Amber.

"Amber, oh my jesus. Ashton asked me out on a-" before I could finish Amber ran out the door. I followed knowing what's going happen.

"ASHTON FLETCHER IRWIN COME HERE." Amber said getting ready to give Ashton 'the talk'.

"Wh-what do you want?" Ashton said scared of Amber's sudden mood change.

"Listen Ashton. When you take my girl Katie-" she said pulling me close to her.

"on a date you have to talk to me first. Understood? I have to approve of this so called date than Katie can go. But before you get all nervous. I already approve because she loved you since she's been a fan of the band now have her." Amber threw me at Ashton unexpectedly & I stood there awkwardly.

"It's nice having this talk with you Irwin. Now you hurt her I break you into pieces & throw you at fans so they could eat you or keep you in a museum or whatever." Amber walked away with full on confidence.

"I'm sorry about Amber. She's like that. Especially with me going on dates. She's like me second mother." I said adding a giggle.

"It's all right. She's just trying to protect her best friend." He said giving me a wink.
