Boring Affection [Akira Kurusu x Reader]

Chapter 2

I have school starting today. Hopefully I can get there without getting lost... I don't want to be late on my first day...

Akira got up from his bed and started to head downstairs. "Oh, so you actually are going to school?" Sojiro asked, not expecting Akira to head off to school. "Here, I'll feed you. Just make sure you finish it before the customers start coming in."

Akira looked at the food, expecting something like bacon and eggs but to find something else. "Curry...?"

"What's that reaction for? Just eat it." Commanded Sojiro. Akira took a seat started to eat the freshly made curry.

...!? I can taste complex flavors within the bold spiciness...

After finishing up his bowl of curry, Akira got up from his seat "It's time for you to go." Sojiro informed Akira.

"That was delicious." Akira complemented. "Thanks... Hurry over to the school. You'll end up late if you get lost on the way." Sojiro ordered.

Akira was about to leave until Sojiro at the last minute said "Oh, flip the sign outside to OPEN for me."

"OK, got it." Akira replied. "Don't forget to do that for me, all right?" Sojiro said. "Now, you better hurry on out. You're gonna be late if you get lost, country boy."

Akira left the cafe only to turn around to flip the sign to OPEN and with that done, he was off to the subways.

"Oh man... did it say it was going to rain today?" A customer at the Leblanc questioned. "Huh? It's raining outside?" Sojiro asked.

"It just started all of a sudden... This is why I hate the early spring." The man explained. "That reminds me... Did he take an umbrella...?" Sojiro thought to himself.

"Hm? Who're you talking about?" The man asked. "Don't mind me... So what will it be?" Sojiro asked the man. "One house blend, please." The man kindly ordered.

"The effects of yesterday's subway accident continues on today as various lines suffer delays and-" a newscaster on TV said.

"There's been a lot of nasty accidents lately. You know, I mean the subway accident that the news is talking about... My coworker got caught up in it and is in the hospital now... But that aside. It's kinda creepy." The man said.

"The people who caused these accidents supposedly went crazy all of a sudden. I heard that some of them suffered from nervous breakdowns during interrogation." The man continued. "Huh..." Sojiro simply said.

Girls in Shujin Academy uniforms were running down the sidewalk. "I left early today too. This seriously sucks." The girl was complaining about the rain that suddenly came out of nowhere.

Meanwhile Akira was standing under one of the shops umbrella roof in order to stay out of the rain.

He looked on to his phone only to see that the app had popped up again. Akira was starting to get annoyed by it.

Suddenly Akira turned to see someone standing next to him. The girl took down their hood to reveal her curly blonde locks of hair that were in pigtails.
