How did that happen,

I hadn't moved from the sofa sort of dumbfounded

What had we just done

I could still feel the phantom touch of his lips against mine

A couple tears fell down my face but I wiped them away, Jeremy seemed really upset

It was a stupid idea, why would we do this?

I didn't know what we would even do anymore

Jeremy firstly suggested this but I agreed, I could've said no but instead I didn't, I agreed

I hated how upset he'd been but just how could we let this happen,

Tears started to form in my eyes again as I heard my mum come down the stairs

"Mikey? Has Jeremy gone already? Is he okay?"  She questioned

I just shrugged as a reply

"Mikey? Did you fall out again?" She asked putting her arm around me squeezing the side gently

I just shrugged again but this time the tears fell

"What's happened honey?" She asked as I clung to her arm

"Mom, we've been kissing, just kissing apart from this one time in a game but normally kissing and we did it... I don't know because we both wanted the affection? But... it was too much today, everything went wrong, but I- I just like him, I just like Jeremy a lot" I said despairingly

She didn't really say anything to start with

I mean I guess it was a lot when you admit to 'platonically' kissing with your best friend but it going too far and then admitting you have a crush on him which therefore admits you're gay or bi but in my case definitely gay.

"Michael... you've been dealing with this by yourself?"

"Well I told Rich and erm sorta kissed him a bit but that was for strictly kissing lessons" I said causing her to laugh a little

"I'm sorry I didn't say anything" I said fiddling with my fingers as I wasn't exactly scared to tell her I mean she's a lesbian so what would she really do to me

"Michael it's okay, you and Jeremy are going to be fine" she said hugging me as I shook my head

"But I like him and he doesn't he just kissed me you know just kissing no strings attached type stuff"

"If you 'took it too far' if he didn't like it and kept to just kissing stuff wouldn't he had stopped it and not continued on?"

"Well I mean... I don't know" I said deflated sort of glad everything was off my chest

"Maybe was just caught up in it, I've ruined our friendship" I said glumly

"Michael. You've been friends for god knows how long, do you really think that it would just stop over all this?" She said as I breathed in a little shakily

"No but-"

"No buts, go on, give him a call or something"

I sighed reaching for my phone

I opened it and let out a sigh, the phone screen was a photo of us both smiling widely doing peace signs while the sun was setting behind us

I smiled at the memory as I scrolled down to find his contact
