* * * Nikolasz's POV * * *

A faint buzzing sound repeated a few times. "Your phone is ringing love."

Emma gave me pinning look that said, "your not going to get out of whatever it is that I was going to say." She slipped past with her hand steady on the walls to the towel rack. Her beautiful smooth creamy skin disappeared under a fluffy white spa towel. I turned off the water and sighed. How am I going to tell her about the hunters? She needs to know before we see them tomorrow.

Walking into the cozy bedroom all my worries melted away when I saw my mate's ear to ear smile into the phone. My heart skipped a beat as she laughed. Happiness bloomed in me and I wanted to kiss her again, but tenderly this time to let her know how happy she makes me.

Her hair was still wet and I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the drops of water falling onto her bare legs. The towel was barely covering the treasure hidden under the shadows of her curves.

"Stop making me laugh this is serious! Did you submit my papers to the office or not?" She was trying to not smirk into the her cell phone and closed her eyes to block me out so she could concentrate on her conversation with Nicole. Little by little I made my way to her, the water dripping on her white freckled legs beckoned me to trail my tongue over the lines of water the drops made. I heard her gasp in surprise when I lifted her leg up so I could better lap at the water on her inner thigh. I'll never get enough of the taste of her skin.

"Thank you Niki I love you. Stay safe. And let them know I'll miss working for them too." She said almost in one go as her free hand came down and fisted my damp head of hair tightly to keep me from going up any further.

Her phone clattered on the glass topped desk she was seated at when she took her call. I looked up to see her look at me with a sly smirk. "You don't get to distract me either." She released my hair and placed her hands on my arm to remove them from her body and gently tugged my arm up. When we stood up she released my arm and she covered my cheeks with her palms. Her deep blue almost violet eyes looked up to search mine for a clue. I can see curiosity hidden the depths of her gaze.

"Now what is it that you were going to say," as she tilted her head to the side. She's so adorable.

I kissed her. Soft and warm. Gentle and sweet. Again happiness bloomed and I felt like I was drowning in her sweetness. Our kiss only lasted for a few seconds but the world stopped. She smiled shyly at me and I knew she was feeling the blooming joy too.

Clearing her throat with an awkward 'ahem', I shook my head to steel myself to tell her what I needed to let her know.

"The hunters," I paused to inhale deeply, "are a pack of wolves set on killing vampires." She looked like I didn't say anything new and stared patiently at me to elaborate.

I groaned. This is going to be harder to explain. How am I supposed to explain hunters if I don't know much about them?

"And they want you to help them." Emma raised her eyebrows up in surprise.

"How can I help them? I don't want to hunt vampires." She said with narrowed eyes and furrowed brow.

"I'm not sure, but it has something to do with your transformation. Martin has told me that you are the heir of Corcra, the dragon in your dream. He called the heir 'The One' the destroyer of vampires. Apparently, the hunters have been searching for 'The One' for hundreds of years and that every five hundred or so an heir will surface... but they don't live long enough to 'help' their pack."
