"miss me with that bullshit," ethan said as he hit the popsicle away from his face.

"bruh, you just wasted a good popsicle," grayson complained as the popsicle shattered on the ground.

"dumbass, it was already on the ground you nasty ass," ethan sassed back while adjusting himself on the chair.

"hey can we do something?" i asked since i was getting bored of sitting in their backyard.

"what do you want to do?" ethan asked while getting off the chair.

"we should go somewhere to eat. i'm hungry," i suggested from hunger.

"i'm not hungry," grayson said while shaking his head.

"i am, where do you wanna eat?" ethan asked while putting all of his attention on me.

i shrugged, "anywhere. i'll eat anything."

"let's go to chick-fil-a," he said with a grin, hoping i would agree.

i nodded my head, "ouu. yes."

"come on. i'll grab my keys," ethan said as he went back inside the house.

i got off my chair and followed behind him, leaving grayson behind.

"have fun," grayson shouted from the backyard.

"why won't you come with us?" i asked him since i felt bad.

"i'm not hungry. plus, i already invited brandon and lydia to come over," he answered while walking into the house and sliding the door shut.

"okay, see you later," i said before i walked towards the front door.

"adios!" grayson shouted so i was able to hear him.

ethan was already waiting for me at the front door, ready for me to walk out so he could lock the door behind us.

after he locked the door, we got in his car and started to drive off.

"how's school so far?" he asked to start off a simple conversation.

"eh," i shrugged. "it's just boring right now."

"what's so boring about it?" he questioned me like he wanted to know every detail.

"there's nothing going on and there's usually something going on," i answered with a boring tone.

"well, it's only been a week. wait until the third week and something will happen," he sent a smirk like he was ready for what's to come.

"you right," i nodded my head in agreement.

once we arrived at chick-fil-a, we waited patiently to get our order by listening to some of our favorite songs.

eventually, we ordered what we wanted and started to head back.
at least i thought we were until ethan took a different turn.
