brianna's pov

i pulled my hair out of my jacket, adjusting the hoodie part behind me.

two knocks on my door caught my attention.

"brianna, sweetie. your friend is already here to pick you up," my grandma said from the other side of my door.

i pauses for a second in confusion.
he's still picking me up?

"oh okay. thank you ma!" i shouted so she could hear.

he hasn't texted me at all this weekend, i assumed that he was mad at me or something.

i was already planning to just ask grayson for a ride because he leaves later than ethan.

i grabbed my backpack from the corner of my room that i already packed last night and walked out.

i jogged down the stairs and quickly put on my shoes.

before i left the house, i went to the fridge for a quick second to grab a cold water bottle.

i opened my front door and shouted loudly, "ma! i'm going to school! lock the door! bye, i love you!"

"have a good day! bye i love you too!" she responded from upstairs.

i closed the door behind me and saw ethan's car, ethan inside, looking down at his phone.

slowly, i made my way to his car and that's when i caught his attention.

i opened the passenger door, "hi."

"hey. morning," he said as he put his phone away.

"i didn't think you were bringing me to school," i said as i put my backpack on the floor.

"why?" he asked as he started to drive.

"you didn't text me at all this weekend besides streaks," i answered.

"well that doesn't mean i'm going to ditch you," he shrugged.

"right," i said quietly before i shut up on the way to school.

"i have to go to physics," lydia said as we both walked down the hall from the cafeteria.

"do you wanna hangout after school today?" i asked her since i have no other plans.

"sure, the twin's house?" she asked.

"no," i shook my head. "mine."

"oh okay, do you think ethan can give me a ride?" she asked since she only has her permits.

"yeah. he won't care," i said it positively.

"i need to do my homework if that's okay with you," she looked at me, waiting for a respond.

"yeah of course," i said it like it was no big deal.
