brianna's pov

i scrolled through my instagram, patiently waiting for ethan to come pick me up.

eventually, a text message popped up on my screen.

7:51a.m
e: i'm here.

i picked up my backpack and open the front door.

after i locker the door, i jogged down to ethan's car; catching his attention from inside.

"sup," he nodded while keeping a small smile on his face once i opened the door.

"hi," i replied as i shut the door after sitting down.

"how was your sleep?" he asked me while starting to drive to school.

"i only slept for four hours so now i have no energy," i answered.

"can you ever just get one good night sleep?" he asked, feeling bad that i can never sleep.

"that's hypocritical coming from you," i referred to how he also doesn't sleep well.

"whatever," he rolled his eyes, denying what i just said.

"mmhmm. don't try me," i stated while unlocking my phone.

"i'll kick your ass out right now," he said as joke while pointing out the door at my side.

"oh no. please don't," i sarcastically begged while pouting.

"how do i deal up with you bri," he rubbed his eyes while stopping at a red light.

"i honestly don't know. i can barely deal with myself most times," i said while staring off, thinking about it.

"so am i walking you to physical science today?" he asked since he insisted to walk me to class in the summer.

"but that's second period," i said as if it'll be difficult to find me after first.

"so? i can find you. then after second, we can go to lunch together," he replied.

"okay. if you say so," i didn't bother to argue with him.

like i said, i'm not popular.
i don't have friends around the corner to sit with at lunch.

ethan decides to help me out with that by bringing me to his friends.

i don't consider ethan's friends, my friends.
more like just acquaintances.

sadly, i have no classes with anyone that i know.

"make sure you meet me in the main hall though," he instructed.

"okay. you got it," i said lastly before putting my attention on the phone.

i placed my left earbud in my ear, blocking out all the sounds that's happening in the hall.

once i finally got to the end of the main hall, i waited patiently for ethan to show up since i have nothing else better to do.
