You and Viggo faced each other, swords held at the ready. Viggo's eyes swept over you, sizing up you as a possible threat. As well as your clothes your body had changed, you had more muscle and felt lighter on your feet. The sword was a work of art in your eyes, which before would of rendered it a useless lump of metal. You still weren't entirely sure of your thoughts, but you did what you felt was the best. Your eyes met Viggo's again, and you couldn't help feeling a wave of warmth run over you, completely unconnected to the situation. The colour of his eye...

"I can't understand how you handle it, living with people who know nothing of the true world, infuriating don't you think?" Viggo commented, gesturing with his arm. You snarled, reacting on your instinct, which wasn't yours. Being unable to hold yourself, you went in straight for an attack. Viggo smiled and neatly sidestepped it, blocking it with his blade for extra insurance. Normally you would of lost your balance, tumbling over  to where you would lie forever supposedly. Nothing was normal today. Instead you retracted your blade and blocked Viggo's next thrust, before countering with your own. You grinned slightly, careful to avoid distraction.

You were sweating with effort, but it felt good. You never were the sporty type, finding knowledge instead was your greatest asset, one reason as to why you read all the time. The exercise rejuvenated your body, and you began to enjoy yourself. Your guard slipped, giving Viggo an opportunity to strike. His blade came up, slicing through the air. Your sword was occupied, and your arms and legs unmoving. The grin fell from your face.

You couldn't block the blow or avoid it, and your available limbs were doing other important things, like keeping you alive. Just as you had winced in anticipation, a cool draft whistled past your ear, and the ground was suddenly a few feet below you. Viggo's sword cut through empty air, where you neck had once been. You frowned, before remembering that your 'made up character'  had two extra limbs. Your hand shot up to your back, which before had been concealed by a cloak. Feathers met your touch, vibrating slightly as they pulled up and down. You had wings. Actual wings. Open mouths surrounded you, and Viggo himself was partially shocked. Of course you didn't get the satisfaction of seeing that for more than half a second. A frown, then a snarl, revealing white teeth. You snarled back, adjusting the weight of your sword in your grip. It wasn't likely that you would fight in the air, but its cool handle reassured you. You lowered yourself, till you were only a few inches above the ground. A flash of steel, and then both your blades were again crossed. You judged it not a good idea to be 'flying' while you had no experience. Your feet spread themselves out, and your knees bent. Your wings were open wide as you swung at him again. He angled his blade horizontally, effectively block your hit. You reared back and made a few light steps, before putting all your weight behind your next thrust, aimed at his shoulder. He span and deflected it before retaliating, you growled.

You fought viciously. ignoring your mixed feelings. Different emotions surged through you, some new, others dangerously violent. Viggo was still more skilled, but his height was a disadvantage, while you used your size and agility to maneuver around him. Your wings and flexibility were also a game changer, both of them being newly acquired. A high whistling alerted you again, not from you or Viggo. You stopped mid slash, spinning round to locate the source. A sharp intake of breath sounded from behind you, then another snarl. You looked up and realised the threat. Then an explosion.

You and Viggo were the only ones who ducked in time.

A/N

Sorry about the length, I'll try to make the chapters longer in future. I've been a bit busy so they might only get longer once classes are finished.

Welp, hope you liked it!
