Chapter Five

That Friday night Keith got a text. It was late so of course Keith was up, binging Umberella Academy. Then his phone buzzed. Exitedly he grabbed it, thinking it was Lance. He thought wrong. Looking at the contact, his face dropped. James Griffins name shone up the top, penetrating the darkness of the room and harshly lighting his horrified face. James, who he hadn't seen since the day he left Texas was in town. And he wanted to see Keith.

There were complicated feelings when Keith left Texas. The orphanage he loved in didn't exactly like the fact he was gay. That's an understatement. They hated it. Despite the strange looks, the rude comments, one thing made that horrible place bearable. James Griffin. He went to school with Keith and Keith just so happened to be in love with him.
James was prideful, hard working, smart and above all passionate about piloting. It was that love for piloting that bonded the two boys. Despite the intense rivalry, they managed to get along famously. They could sit for hours just talking and it was Keith's favrioute part of the day, seeing him.
They both sent into letters to flight school. Only Keith got in. That was all thanks to Shiro. The day Keith packed his bags to leave, James stopped by his house to help. As the sun set they went outside to watch it from the long grass behind his house. They sat on a grey rock. As the warm sun hit James face Keith kissed him. And James kissed him back. And it was the best feeling ever.
The next day, however, James came to his door. Glaring, he looked at Keith and said with the harshest tone possible,
"I don't love you, Keith. I never have. I never will. You're disgusting." Then he just walked away. Whilst Keith cried on the doorstep he just walked away, dry eyed and angry.

And now he wanted to see Keith.
