Lance POV
It was around 1:00 in the morning when Lance decided to call Keith. He knew it was late, but he couldn't get Keith out of his head. Every time he closed his eyes, Keith was there. His beautiful face, his deep eyes, his kind smile. It just wouldn't go away. And so Lance came to the conclusion he had to see Keith right then.
As the phone buzzed, Lance's stomach leaped. It churned around like a washing machine as Keith's smiling face grinned at him. Then it connected.
"Hey Keith"
"Heyy, Lance. God, what time is it?"
"OH, right, it's late. I hope I didn't wake you up."
"Not at all. I spent most nights drawing and binging Crazy Ex Girlfriend."
"You draw?" Lance asked.
"Well, kinda. Not well. But I enjoy it."
"You'll need to show me one time."
"That's really funny Lance. But I'm afraid drawings are third date things."
"Then let's go on our third date."
"We haven't had our second yet?" Keith asked, confused.
"Exactly. Let's go on two dates. Back to back."
Keith POV
Keith was stunned. Lance was very foward. Then, Keith's mind went back to the text. Goddam James, making him feel things like an idiot. He really needed a distraction. And thankfully, Lance was a welcome one.
"Sure, Lance."
"Really? Umm...okay, that never works. When do you wanna have them?"
"How about now?"
"Now?" Lance sounded surprised.
"Yeah, meet me at Altea park in half an hour."
Keith hung up. He truly couldn't belive he just said that. He NEVER, asked guys out like that. If he did, he'd probably already have a boyfriend. Boyfriend. Oh God. He was going on a second AND third date with Lance. How would that even work? Would that make them boyfriends? Should they kiss? What should he wear?
And so, Keith did what he always did in these sorts of situations. He called Shiro.
"SHIRO HELP ME HELP ME HELP ME" He yelled into the phone.
"Shit, Keith. Calm down, would you? What's up?"
"I'm about to have my second and third date with Lance. Right now. Help."
"Second...and third??? Keith that makes absolutely no sense."
"Yeah I know, but it's kinda romantic, right?"
"No. It's just stupid." Shiro sighed.
"Buzzkill. Anyway, could you please help."
"Fine. Wear something casual, but nice. No red dresses this time. It's not your wedding aniversary. Put on some conceler and undereye eyeliner. Where are you taking him?"
"Umm... I just told him to meet me in Altea park."
"Perfect. Take him to the warf. Get tacos. Nice. Simple. Easy. Now, can I please go back to bed???"
"OH RIGHT, sure. Sorry for waking you up, Shiro." He whispered.
Keith, with a newfound readiness got up, turned on the light and got ready. God, he thought, I'm gonna mess this up.
