The saiyan experiment

super instinct

attacking i watched as he dodged rapidly for several moments before countering with a punch aimed at my face. blocking it i fired a ki blast that he kicked away and twisting he slammed his heel into my side making me wince and flipping away his expression stayed calm as i warily started taking a more defensive stance. attacking he was fast as i blocked and dodged at full speed until i caught both his fists but reacting he drove his knee into my chin making me lose my grip and using the opening he hit me multiple times in the gut with a barrage of punches slowly pushing me back until finishing with a kick to the chest he launched me through a giant tree. using my foot i grazed the ground and bouncing off i landed on a tree branch. pulling my fist back i focused my power causing my aura to suddenly focus into my hand making it glow gold. opening my palm i thrust it forward unleashing an incredible amount of ki in a wave of destructive energy causing all in my way to explode in a cloud of combat dust. glancing behind me i saw him land on another tree directly across from me and turning i stared at him. "impressive what kind of transformation is that?" i asked making him stare in confusion. "actually its a technique based off one the gods of old were said to use" he said his eyes dimming and reverting to base form i sat on the branch while he did the same. "its said the gods of old at least the strongest of them used a technique known as ultra instinct!" he explained but the moment the last two words left his mouth i felt a shiver go down my spine. "ultra instinct allows one to attack and defend without thought at the same time and gain incredible power from it the longer you fought as well" he said getting excited before i motioned for him to continue. "well i figured out a similar technique that works a lot like it but its nowhere near the same thing i call it super instinct! it makes you able to react without thought so that you can dodge and attack but its not at the same time, your power stays the same and does not grow in the slightest not to mention it makes your eyes shine with a strange light. my brother had a small blue glow in his eyes while i have these bright red ones. "would it be possible for me to learn?" i asked which made him freeze up before he relaxed. "well i could but it might take a few years. to be honest the only reason i attacked you was to keep you out of that war it was pretty unfair how easily you trashed them guys" he said with a guilty grin. feeling bad i stood up as he did the same. "so when can we start?" i asked making him smile. "right now" he said with excitement. taking him to where i left my ship he told me his name was ura and he began to train me to stay calm and let my body react on its own which took several months of harsh training until finally it happened. my eyes were closed as i struggled to keep up with ura keeping them closed i was once more in the state above super saiyan which i came to call super saiyan 2 but with my eyes closed i was gaining more and more damage until he aimed for my throat. my eyes flew open a strange and faint grey glint developing within them as i reverted to base form and ducking under the attack i noticed ura grin. kicking him in the shoulder i suddenly lost focus as he came at me with his other arm letting him land a blow to my face. "sorry rego but it looks like you cant use your super whatever with super instinct! he said laughing making me wince. "but now you can probably beat a lot of opponents without having to use as much power!" he said with a grin as i began packing up my gear. "yeah but since it isnt that powerful i probably wont use it often against strong opponents but you never know might help me win someday!" i said returning his grin as i went inside my ship. as it rose into the sky i waved from one of the windows and with a burst of speed my ship took off. i often wondered if i should have involved myself in that war but shaking my head i knew it wasn't right for me to defeat an enemy that stood no chance. for the next 10 years i traveled from planet to planet learning fighting styles and raising my power higher and higher even gaining knowledge of things to keep my ship going until finally i  began the journey home.
