Parker's P.O.V.

I've been on the road for about 7 hours now and I think it's safe to say that I'm almost to L.A. I left the motel room pretty early this morning so I could get back on the road. Shayne called me a few hours ago, giving me his address. Since I'm gonna be his roommate. I was skeptical at first, I didn't know him personally, but he works with Wes so I trusted him instantly. I drive by a high school and every memory flooded back.

14 years ago - Varsity Wresting tryouts. Wes was 17.  Parker was 15, about to turn 16

"Come on Park! I think this would be good for you!" Wes says. "And I can't have you going to juvie. Go to one practice and if it's not your style, we will try for a different sport."

I looked at him with such a pissed off look but deep down I knew he was right. I couldn't get arrested again. It would ruin my chance in the future. Maybe wrestling would help me out. I get a little skeptical as I noticed it was manly guys and like 3 girls. The coach noticed me and walked over.

"Ms. Collins. I'm glad you decided to come to the first practice of the season. This is basically a trial run. If you like what you see, you can come back, it you don't, well you don't have to come back. And Mr. Johnson. Are you here as well?"

"Oh no. I'm just here to support Parker." He says.

I shoot my head back at it him with daggers in my eyes and then turn back around, facing the coach.

"Oh well it's always good to have support from friends." The coach replies. "Okay. Let's get this started."

                        After 1st practice.

The first practice was over and I was walking out of the school gymnasium when a voice boomed over. "Well well Well. Look who is going out for wrestling. Little orphan girl."

I just kept walking. Trying my damn hardest not to punch him in the face.

"Hey! I'm talking to you, bitch!" I heard as I felt a strong hand grab my arm, pulling me to face him.

"Let go of me Michael!" I say as I try to break loose of his strong grip but he tightens it.

"You don't walk away from me when I'm talking to you!" He says as he pins me against the cement wall.

I tried to wiggle out of his strong grasp. His huge hand was on my throat, choking me. I tired to scream out for help. I felt tears brimming my eyes.

"le-let go of m-me..." I say with what little air I have left. He just kept smirking and laughing. Soon, I felt a hand move around my torso. My eyes went wide. No no no. Then he began touching my thighs in a way that made shiver. I tried with all my might to escape but he is making impossible. Where was Wes at?! I had thought in my head.

"I guess your friend isn't helping you now huh?" He says as he trails to the brim of my shorts, tugging on them. My vision was slowly fading as the struggle for getting air was getting a lot more difficult. Then as soon as I was about to black out. I felt him get released. I fell to the ground, unable to move. I faintly looked up and see Wes. Wailing on Michael. I try everything in me to pull Wes off of him but all I see is black.

I wake up to sound of slight murmur.

"Oh thank god you're awake!" A familiar voice echoed. I look up and I see Brendon.

"Wh-where's Wes?" I ask, my voice still raspy.

"He is talking with the principal but that's the least of our worries." He says.

I noticed there are 2 deputies and the school nurse are talking to the side. The notice I'm awake and walk over to me.

"Hello Ms. Collins. You know who I am. Deputy Mark and this is deputy Joseph. Now, can you tell us, what exactly happened." He asks. I take a deep breathe and look over at Brendon. Nodding his head, telling me that it's okay. I grip Brendon's hand and I start explaining everything.

                       After explanation

I finally got to go home but the truth was. I didn't have a home. I hated the foster family I was living with. I always had a duffel bag, filled to the brim in clothes and I always kept it at the Johnson's house. They invited me to stay for a couple of days, which I couldn't say no to. News got out about what happened. Michael Reynolds got expelled and got sent to a military school. Wes got a weeks worth of out of school suspension for beating him up and me? Everyone hated me for getting Michael expelled. He was in Wes' grade and he was the star football player. I hated going to school but Brendon kept me safe and the wrestling coach told everyone that if they do get as say an insult to me. They would get detention. I went back to wrestling practice. I've learned that it actually does help me and the coach is like the mentor, I've never had and never knew I needed. He bought me a brand new pair of wrestling shoes. After many attempts to not accept them. I gave in...

As I snap back into reality. I noticed that I had just entered Los Angeles. I'm here! I'm finally here. I pull out my phone and dial Shayne's number.

"Hey Parker. What's up?" His smooth voice came over the phone.

"I'm here! I finally made it to L.A.! I'm driving to your place now!" I shout.

"That's great! I'm home so I'll look out for a moving van and I can help you unload." He says as I heard a soft plop. He must be on the couch.

"Okay. I'll see you in a little while. Bye Shayne!" I say as I hang up. I am so excited. I play my music and turn it up and jam out to it as I make my way to my new place.

DON'T STOP DOIN WHAT YOU'RE DOIN
EVERY TIME YOU MOVE TO THE BEAT
IT GETS HARDER FOR ME
AND YOU KNOW IT, KNOW, IT KNOW IT

DON'T STOP CAUSE YOU KNOW THAT I LIKE IT
EVERY TIME YOU WALK IN THE ROOM
YOU GOT ALL EYES ON YOU
AND YOU KNOW IT, KNOW IT, KNOW IT!

I finally made to the house. I see a wild Shayne run out and wait for me pull up in front of his house. I get out of the van. He runs up to me and engulfs me into a hug.

"I'm so glad you made it! Now! Let's get unpacking...roomie!"
He says as he goes to the back of the van and unlatches the back. He grabs boxes and begins walking inside.

"Oh I called a friend of mine, you probably heard of him, Damien? Yeah he should be here any minute to help unload stuff." He says as comes back out.

"That's great. And thanks again Shayne. For letting me live with you and I need to call Joven and thank him as well."

I say as I take a box and start to head inside.

I come back out. This could take a while.
