It was 5 days after Parker had told the news to everyone. Every thing Parker does, everyone tries to tell her that it's too dangerous, like they want her to take it easy.

"Guys, come on! Let's go skiing and snowboarding! We came up here for a getaway." Parker said.

"She's right ya know, it's the fifth day here and we've barely done anything yet. So let's get our ski outfits on and go have some fun!" Wes yelled.

Everyone cheered and went into their rooms to get changed into their ski uniforms and everyone was finishing up, putting their boots on and grabbing the skis from the vans and they made their way towards the ski lifts. Some of them went skiing while others decided on going sledding down the other hill.
Parker hasn't been skiing since her senior trip to the mountains. It was kind of a reward for her for not getting arrested or getting into trouble with the law of her last year of high school.

8 years ago - Senior Trip - Parker was 18.

It was 2010. It was Parker's senior year. Life took three a curveball at Parker. She didn't get adopted into the Jones family. After months of fighting with her social worker and the judge, she finally got emancipated. She was living on her own, in a small apartment about 10 minutes from school. She had been on the varsity wrestling team since freshman year and had led the team to states every year and had one. She had a steady job, enough to pay for rent, buy food and and pay her car and her phone bill. She hasn't been getting into trouble with the law. It was Monday, February 3rd, 2010. The seniors were in a meeting, discussing senior trip plans. Since it was still winter, everyone agreed on going to a ski lodge for the week.

"Now, we have raised enough money since freshmen year to go on this trip. If you are failing or lack multiple attendances, or hm... been arrested. You cannot go." Sophie Glass the student body president says, with a smirk across her face, looming directly at me with her clipboard in her hands. I was so close from storming over to her and knocking her out but I didn't. Instead I just stormed off. I was speed walking down the hall when a voice boomed over the hallway.

"Collins. Aren't you supposed to be in a senior meeting?" The voice asked.

She stopped in her tracks. "Shit!" She said quietly. She turned about and saw coach Turner, the wrestling coach.

"Nope. Cause I'm not going or I can't go." She says as she starts walking towards coach Turner.

"And why not?" Turner asks.

"Cause that bitch...sorry...that whatever you call her, embarrassed me in front of the whole senior class. She was talking about the trip and she says anyone who is failing classes, lack multiple attendances or has been arrested cannot go! I have her know. I haven't been arrested once this year! ONCE!" I yelled at Turner.

"That is not right. I will talk to the principal about that. She has no right to do that and how does she even know that you've been arrested?" Turner asked.

"Her dad is the chief of police. He blabbered to her about me.." I say as I roll my eyes.

"Well you can skip that meeting and I'll get AJ to fill you in. Now. Do you have any classes you need to be at?" Turner asks.

"Nope. I was wondering if I could hit the weight room? It'll calm me down." I ask.

Coach Turner pulls out his keys and hand them to Parker.

"Please place them back on my desk when you're finished. Oh and we don't have practice for today." Turner says as he walks away.
