Chapter 7 - Results

Parker's P.O.V.

   It was Wednesday, 2 days before everyone leaves for the 2 week relaxing getaway up at Big Bear. Everyone was working on the last minute things they had to do before the departure. Parker and Mari were hanging out while she was editing and Mari was on her phone. Suddenly, a phone rang. It was Parker's cell phone. It was the doctor calling. She must have the results.

"Hello, Ms. Collins. Yes this is doctor Schafer. We have your test results in. I'm going to need you to come into my office to discuss plans." She says over the phone.

"Oh. Is there any reason why you can't tell me over the phone?" Parker asks.

"It would be best if we talked in person." The doctor said.

"Uh yeah, I'll be there around 12:00. Is that alright?" Parker asked.

"Yes. That's perfect. I'll see you then. Goodbye now." Doctor Schafer says as she hangs up the phone.

Parker and Mari exchange weird looks.

"Well it's 11:45, I should probably go tell Ian that I have to leave." Parker says as she gets up from her desk, grabs her purse and phone and heads towards Ian's office. She knocks on it lightly.

Parker's P.O.V.

"Come in." He says. Parker opens the door and sees Shayne and Ian talking.

"Hey sorry to intrude but I got a phone call from the doctor and the results are back in and she has asked me to come back into her office so we can discuss things. Is it okay if I head out?" She asks. She also noticed from the corner of her eye that Shayne was staring at her. She brushed it off and looked back at Ian.

"Of course. Go ahead. I hope everything is okay Parker." Ian says as he sits back down.

"Thanks Ian. So do I. Well. I'll see you later." She says as she parted away from Ian's office and makes her way towards the elevator to make it to the parking garage.

At the doctors office.

"As you may have known, last week, we did some blood tests, urine tests, CT scans, MRI's, everything. We tested it multiple times just to make sure. We also found out what you have is genetic, It came from your mothers side of the family. Does your mother have any illnesses I should know about?" Doctor Schafer asked.

"Um, I was is foster care all my life so I really don't know." I said. Parker had forgotten that her birth mother died when she was 10 and then hearing about it when she was finally out of foster care.

"Ms Collins." "Please. Call me Parker."

The doctor looked down at her hands and then looked back up.

"Parker, you have..."

After the doctors appointment

As soon as she got back to work, she went straight to the roof. Everyone was filming something or too busy to notice her walk in. Parker kept getting phone calls from Shayne, Wes, Courtney, Ian, Damien. They haven't heard from her since she left to go to her doctors appointment. Parker is sitting on the roof, staring out into the city, legs dangling over the edge, tears streaming down her face. Her phone gets buzzing and buzzing. She kept getting texts or phone calls.

"Shayne"
Hey where are you? Are you back from your doctors appointment?

"Ian"
Please message me back Parker. All of us are starting to worry

"Wesley"
Hey Shayne said that you had a doctors appointment at 12 and then you never came back. Is everything alright? Where are you? Talk to me parker!
