Silence filled the room the three sisters were in. The only sound that could be heard were soft sniffle from Peggy. Immediately, Eliza pulled Peggy into a hug, not saying anything, but letting Peggy softly cry into her shoulder.

"It's not fair! How come I have to be born like this! How come I can't just be normal! I'm such a disgrace!" Peggy sobbed.

In this kingdom, there was tolerance for people who liked the same gender. Absolutely no tolerance. Especially from King Phillip. If anyone was caught engaging in sexual, or even just a brief kiss, with someone of the same gender, they would be hung in the town square, rocks pelted at them beforehand. And King Phillip would be there to watch. Peggy knew this, when she was younger, she could see the town square from her bedroom balcony. She saw the horrific things that happened to people just because they showed love differently.

"Listen to me. Peggy, you are not, by any means, a disgrace. You are the kindest, funniest, creative princess ever. Just because you express your love differently does not mean you are "not normal." You know what Peggy, when I become Queen, I'm going to change that law. Because nobody should give a fuck about how people love. Love is love," Angelica said to Peggy, looking her straight in the eyes. "And if father dare tries to harm you, Eliza and I will take him down," Angelica smirked, Eliza nodding behind her.

"Peggy. We love you so much, nothing ever in this world will change that. Ever. We have a sisterly bond that can never, ever be broken," Eliza said, smiling at her.

Peggy felt better after what they had said to her, but she still felt a bit terrible. There was no way that Maria would share the same feelings as her. And undoubtedly would Maria eventually have to get a suitor, in which Peggy will have to watch Maria be taken away from her.

"T-t-thank you," Peggy said, smiling the slightest bit. Who cares what her father thinks? Her sisters accepted her, and that was all that mattered to her.

"Now I believe we have some very stunning gowns to get fitted for, right girls?" Eliza smiled.

Three gorgeous young ladies exited a room, all three dressed in beautiful gowns. They chattered and bounced about excitedly, anticipating the arrival of the ball that weekend.

     "You look beautiful!"

     "No, you look beautiful!"

"I think we all look quite beautiful!"

This went on for quite a while, as the girls giggles and laughed at each other in their gorgeous gowns.

"So, what are you guys excited for about the ball!" Angelica eagerly asked her younger siblings, they no doubt had in mind something fun to do at the ball, she couldn't join though, she would be away from her sisters the whole night, searching for a man.

"Finding true love......" Eliza sighed dreamily, sinking into the soft sofa.

"Wine," Pegy said, no expression. Since she would not be able to find a man at the ball, and there was no point in chasing the ladies, she would most certainly be drinking her heart out.

"Peggy you can't just drown your sorrows in grape flavored alcohol," Eliza said to her younger sister.

"I beg to differ, it is much better to feel sad and terrible while you're helplessly drunk," Peggy firmly replied

Eliza just rolled her eyes at her younger sister.

"But hey, at least my plan on getting drunk is better than your plan to find "true love"," Peggy smirked at Eliza.

"Oh, but dear sister, I know I may find the one! I can already picture him, I'll look into his eyes and the sky will be the limit! I'll be helpless......" Eliza sighed with a soft smile on her face.

"Well, I hope you two have fun with that, I'll be busy looking for a suitor," Angelica said, still a bit upset she was being forced to marry.

The Winter Ball. That may be interesting.
