The Winter Ball~Eliza's Story

     The night had not  been treating Eliza well so far. She was desperate for love but all the guys here were kinda idiots, in her opinion. She was so down, she considered drowning her sorrows in alcohol with Peggy, who looked drunk already. She sighed and decided to go with Peggy.

     "Hey Pegs, you doing alright?" Eliza knew that Maria was supposed to come to the ball, she was probably already here, it's just the ballroom in so ginormous, she's probably really far from Peggy at the moment. "How many glasses of wine have you had?" Peggy looked a bit.....drunk.

     "I lost count," Peggy mumbled, downing another glass of grape flavored alcohol. "What are you even doing here anyway? I thought you were supposed to be off finding the love of your life or something."

     "Well all the boys are kinda stupid," Eliza replied, indulging in a glass of wine herself.

     "Come on Eliza! You shouldn't be wasting away over here! I'm sure not all of them are stupid! Go dance or something!" Peggy encouraged Eliza.

     "Pegs, you know I've never been the type to try and grab the spotlight," Eliza sighed, looking at all the people dancing. "Hey! Look at Angie over there!" Eliza giggled, trying to change the subject. Angelica was dancing very elegantly, everyone in the ballroom looking at her.

     Both sisters laughed. "She looks stupid but she sure is dazzling the room!" Peggy laughed at their eldest sister.

     Then suddenly, there was the sound of glass crashing to the floor and wine spilling. And maybe the sound of a heart rapidly beating. Eliza was in a bit of a daze, something had caught her eye and caused her to drop her wine glass.

     "You okay Eliza?" Peggy asked, trying to look at what Eliza was looking at. "Oh!" Peggy smirked at Eliza. "That's what you're looking at."

     Eliza still did not seem to hear Peggy, as she was still in a daze. Eliza was looking at a handsome young man, with intelligent eyes in a hunger-pang frame.

     "Well?! What are you waiting for, go get him!" Peggy said to Eliza, gently pushing her up.

     "You know what Peggy, you're right, I'm going to go talk to him," Eliza confidently said, standing up and smoothing out her dress.

     Eliza was desperately trying to catch the young man's eye from the side of the ballroom, but she couldn't really get to him, because everyone was dancing and the band was top volume. She tried dancing to the rhythm as everyone else wined and dined, and eventually she saw Angelica, so she went over to her. When she reached her, she saw that she could get a perfect view of the young man from there.

     Eliza grabbed Angelica by the arm, pointed to the young prince and whispered, "Yo, this one's mine."

     Angelica released herself from Eliza's grip and gracefully walked across the ballroom to the young prince. Eliza was panicking and freaking out on the inside, she just told Angelica that he's hers! She was very nervous, she didn't know what Angelica was planning to do! Angelica grabbed Alexander by the arm. Eliza panicked, she was sure she was through. But then, the prince locked eyes with Eliza, and suddenly she was helpless. When she looked into the young man's eyes, the sky was the limit. She was most certainly helpless! She was down for the count and drowning in those gorgeous eyes! 

     Then, they started walking towards her, Eliza tried her best to look nice as they approached.

     "Elizabeth Schuyler, it's a pleasure to meet you," Eliza tried to say as kindly as possible.

     "Schuyler?" The young prince, whose name she found out was Alexander, asked.

     "My sister," Angelica informed Alexander with a smile.

     "If it takes crossing an ocean for us to meet, it will have been worth it," Alexander took Eliza's hand and kissed it.

     "I'll leave you to it!" Angelica smiled, before walking away.

     As soon as Angelica left, Eliza smirked at Alexander and took his hand, leading him upstairs.

     "Where are you taking me?" Alexander asked Eliza, but he already knew, as he had a smirk on his face as well as Eliza.

     "I'm about to change your life," Eliza said, leading them to her bedroom.

     "Then by all means, lead the way," Alexander said as Eliza closed the bedroom door behind him.

     In case you didn't know what was going on right now, through all the signs, it's simple. Eliza and Alexander fucked each other that night. Also Peggy heard and banged on the door later that night for them to shut up.
