Jimin arrived early at the skating rink the next day. His parents taunting for perfection haunted is mind throughout the night. Every word, every push, every doubt drove him insane. He wanted the show that he was good, what they expect him to be. It drove him to his limit, he didn't give himself a break to use his inhaler although his body desperately needed it.
He stopped to cough in his arm with his lungs crying to get more oxygen. With his vision getting spotted, the invisible weight barred down on his chest making his short breaths become strained wheezes. Jimin shook his head determined to keep skating but someone calling his name made him pause.
"Chimchim!" Taehyung called from the side.
Jimin took as deep as breath as he could muster and started skating again. He hit the ice with the tip of his skate to complete another jump before squatting into a tight spin. Taehyung frowned watching and dug through his back pack to find the inhaler he carried around for Jimin.
"Chimchim, come this way!" Taehyung called again.
This time, Jimin gave in and skated over to Taehyung. The latter took Jimin's hand and placed the inhaler into it. Jimin gave him a thankful look before inhaling three rounds then sighed in relief when the weight left his chest with his breathing returning to normal.
"Thank you." He told Taehyung.
"You're welcome. How long have you been here?" Taehyung questioned suspiciously rubbing Jimin's back.
"About two hours." Jimin shrugged.
"Have you eaten yet?" He asked.
"Not since breakfast. Wait, are those donuts?" Jimin pointed at the familiar box sitting on the chair next to Taehyung's bag.
"Yep. But it's going to cost you a kiss." Taehyung snickered leaning over the low edge earning an eye roll from Jimin.
"Fine."
"You don't have to fight about it- wait really?" Taehyung looked at him shocked that Jimin agreed so easily to his proposal.
"I really want the pink frosted sprinkled one." Jimin shrugged looking from the donuts then at his friend.
"Then pay up and I'll give it to you."
Jimin jumped up go sit on the low wall that separated them and gave Taehyung a quick peck on the cheek before stealing the donut his mouth watered for. He hopped down and snickered at how dumbfounded Taehyung looked.
"That was a cheap kiss." He huffed gaining his composure.
Taehyung grabbed a chocolate glazed donut then sat on the edge where Jimin was a moment ago. He motioned for Jimin to come back up, which Jimin did seeing that Taehyung wasn't going to fight to get the donut back.
"Chocolate is way better anyway." Taehyung claimed taking a large bite out of his doughnut.
"Ummm. No. We're friends, but no way is chocolate better than this." Jimin argued.
"Jimin!" A feminine voice called with the sound of heels clicking against the ground.
The two paused in their pointless argument to look over and see the girl their age walking towards them with a smile. Her hair was dyed a dark strawberry blonde, styled in long curls that bounces when she walked. The skirt she wore exposed the majority of her smooth, long legs while her blue sweater covered her upper body. To say the least, Jimin's girlfriend was stunning and was always up to date with fashion trends.
"Chocolate is still better." Taehyung whispered as Sohyun stopped in front of the two.
"So, you asked me to dinner?" She asked Jimin with a sweet smile to show off her perfect teeth.
