Chapter 3

Hey to any one reading this I added in a new chapter you may have  read it it's the  character chapter.
POV Maya:
  Tessa and me walked to lunch after 3rd period. There where lots of people. Take a guess who was centered in this huge cafeteria. Ryder that's who. Big shocker there. Can you here the sarcasm in my voice?

"Are you coming Maya?" Tessa asks in line already.

" Yes sorry I was just distracted. "

Tessa just smiled at me as we sat down at her empty table.

"So is it just you who sits here?"

"Yes my old " friends" said that I wasn't skinny enough or pretty enough to hang out with them." Tessa's voice laced with sadness.

" WHAT." I practically fell off the bench.

" This year I came back skinny and they begged me to hang out with them again. I told them no and they weren't my real friends."

" Wow I'm so proud of you. I will be here for you so don't worry about me." I smiled giving a reassuring nod.

" I don't even know you and you're a better friend then they ever we're." Tessa's eyes gleamed with hope.

" GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME YOU DUMB HOE."

I look across the cafeteria and sure enough the yelling came from Ryder. I look to his side to see some desperate girl clinging to his side.

"You don't mean that honey you're just angry I will let you cool off a little." She says brushing his comment off in a screech Voice. I look up to watch as Ryder stormed  out of the cafeteria. Mark getting up to follow him. I looked back to Tessa who's just casually eating.

"Does this happen a lot here at King Side?" I question surprised by her lack of concern for the situation.

" Yes, And that girl with the annoying voice in Katy. He slept with her once and she is obsessed with him. She is this schools queen bee. Every time he tells her to fuck off she always comes back. It's honestly annoying. I feel bad for Ryder and all his friends. I can't even deal with her for 2 seconds can't imagine what there going threw. She also tells the whole school there dateing. Let's just say he doesn't like her at all." She says exitment in her voice.

" Why are you so excited by this topic?" I asked super confused at all the signals she's giving me.

"I like telling you about all the people here. It makes me feel important knowing what I say will always imapact how you look at all of these people." Tessa says pride in her eyes.

" Wow I will make sure not to get on your bad side you are very powerful." We giggled at the thought.

Out of know where a girl with lots of caked on makeup came and sat down with us.

"Hello you must be new here you should hang out with us over there." She glances at Tessa with discust, And turns her attention back to me. "You wouldn't want to fall in with the wrong crowd."

" You are right I wouldn't want to fall into the wrong crowd." Her face turns into a mean smirk. " That's why I won't hang out with you or any of your skank ass friends."

Her mouth dropped open and just hung for 5 seconds. That's when I realized the whole cafeteria was watching.  "You can leave now I am done with this conversation."

She just stumbled back to her table and the cafeteria went back to what they were doing.

"I was scared that you were going to leave there for a second. " Tessa says laughing.

" Why would I leave the real deal for some plastic bitch." I laughed

We just spent the rest of the time cracking lame jokes and getting to know one another.

The bell rang and we all rushed out to get to the next class. I stopped at my locker grabbing my next set of books. I felt a rough cold finger tapping my shoulder. I turned around only to see Katy looking at me with a fake smile plastered on her caked up face.

"Look your new here so I will give you a second chance. The way you talked to McKenzie was rude and you need to apologise. " Katy said looking board.

" Ha okay look I don't want to cause trouble but she was disrespectful first. " I said matching her board tone.

Katy looks up from her nails. " Okay and what did she say that was so disrespectful to you." She sneerd.

" I don't have to prove or tell you anything but like hell I'm going to apologise for something I would do again. " I said shoving past her. By now the Halls are silent everyone watching.

"You listen here bitch I tried to be nice to you but obviously your to dumb to take a hint."

I turned around with the most board face ever " are you done squeeling like the little pig you are."

The hallway that had been silent turned to loud gasps followed by laughter. I looked back at Katy whose mouth is open in shock.

"You really are dumber then you look you bitch." She comes towrd me about to slap me when a hand behind me caught it. I turn around only to be met with a familiar chest. I look up to see Ryder's stone cold glare set on Katy. I turned back around to face Katy.

"Baby let go so I can slap this skank bitch. "Katy said her voice higher now.

" Stop calling me baby I hate you. All you were was a fuck and you weren't even that good. " Ryder said not even careing that the whole school was watching.

"It's her isn't it the day she shows up you don't like me any more were you cheating on me with this slut. "

" 1st off I never liked you 2nd we we're never dateing in the first place so how could I cheat. 3rd off her name is Maya."

I was taken back I didn't know he even knew my name. With that said the late bell rang and people went off to there classes in a rush not to be late. For Katy she just disappeared into the crowd. I turned around him still right behind me. Before I could get any words out he threw me over his shoulder.

"What are you doing put me down now." I yell hitting his back.

" Calm down I need to talk to you."

" Why didn't you just ask me to talk?" I stop hitting his back.

" Let's just be honest you wouldn't have come with me and I am getting a way better view he says referring to my ass that's by his face.

"Wow you are going to major in being an ass one day." I said rolling my eyes.

He walked into an empty class room and set me on a table.

"What do you want Ryder?" I asked annoyed because I was going to be really late.

" Stay away from Katy. " He said in a strick tone.

" 1st your not my mom don't tell me what to do. 2nd I don't want to be any where near her who would. " I said mad that he brought me here to tell me that.

" Okay. "

" Is that all you dragged me here for."

"No. I wanted to know if you could possibly sit with us next lunch. "

" What why would you want that I'm just a nerd. "

" Well no other girl in this school would stand up to Katy." He breathe out looking in my eyes like he was trying to read me.

  " What if I say no?" I meet his intense gaze.

  "Then I will just sit by you and draw more attention from leaving my table."

A stupid smirk spread across his face as he knew he had one the argument.

  "Only if Tessa can sit there with me." Crossing my arms stubbornly.

"Of course she can."

I hop off of the table and walk out to get to my next class.
