PAIN was what taehyung felt for the rest of the night. he can't believe jeongguk had broken up with him and accused him of killing his father.
taehyung didn't do anything wrong. he stayed home right after he gets back from school to re-arrange everything inside the secret room. he wasn't even aware that jeongguk's father was right outside of his house, laying dead.
taehyung couldn't sleep. he's been crying for god knows how many hours. he needed to at least hear a goodnight text from jeongguk but nothing came. not even a single 'i hate you' came up.
jeongguk clearly shut taehyung of from his life.
taehyung can't help but feel like this was his fault. he regrets telling jeongguk what he is. he regrets taking jeongguk out on a date. he regrets kissing him and telling him he loves jeongguk.
but most of all, he regrets meeting jeongguk on the bench that day.
taehyung's hurt and no one is there to help him.

the next morning, taehyung woke up with swollen eyes. he only slept for two hours and he didn't finish his homework that was due today.
he stayed there, lying awake. he doesn't care if he's late. he just needs to get the pain out of his heart but he couldn't. he needed someone to stay with him and tell him everything's ok. he just needs someone to hold him and hug him.
just like how jeongguk did when he still trusted taehyung.
taehyung can't help the tears escaping his eyes once he stood up to change his attire. jeongguk's hoodie was still with him and he can't help but wear it.
just to remind him about jeongguk's smell that he would probably not get to smell again.
taehyung started heading for school and at the same time comes jeongguk. looking more handsome than ever.
taehyung looked down, not being able to look at jeongguk.
unfortunately, for taehyung, jeongguk spotted him. taehyung got his hopes up once jeongguk walked towards him but that hope soon faded once jungkook said,
"why are you, the faggot of the whole school, doing here with me?" jeongguk asked coldly.
taehyung was surprised and can't help but look at jeongguk to see if he was joking or not. unfortunately, he wasn't.
"jeongguk, w-what happened to-" taehyung tried to ask but jeongguk cut him off by pushing taehyung down.
"i told you to stay out of the way, didn't i? why are you here then?" jeongguk asked. taehyung shook his head jeongguk kicked him.
"answer me!"
"i-i was g-going to school! i didn't h-have any intentions to m-meet you here!" taehyung yelled in fear of getting kicked again.
taehyung cannot see the regret in the boy's eyes. the only thing he can see is hatred. no love was displayed in the brown orbs that used to be so calming.
jeongguk left and taehyung burst into tears. he can't believe jeongguk actually left him on the sidewalk alone and hurt. he can't bring himself to find this the truth but it is.
this is a nightmare where taehyung can't get out of.

jeongguk arrived in school looking as if nothing had happened before. he walked coolly towards his friends.
"hey." jeongguk greeted.
"what the- where's taehyung?" yoongi asked and jeongguk's eyes darkened.
"don't talk about him. jimin, give me your book where you keep our friendships in." jeongguk ordered and jimin gave the book, not before looking at yoongi.
jeongguk ripped the paper where it says "KIM TAEHYUNG"
jimin gasped and ripped the book out of jeongguk's hands, "hey! what do you think you're doing?! why'd you have to rip his page off?!"
"because he's a fucking betrayer and you know it jimin. you saw what he was that night. he's a fucking monster and everyone should know that." jeongguk answered through gritted teeth.
from far away, taehyung watched and heard what they were speaking about. he can't help the tears escaping from his eyes.
taehyung had no chance but to pass jeongguk and his friends to go to the bathroom. which he did very quickly, not looking when jimin called out to him.
taehyung sat inside a cubicle and cried. he can't find himself to stop. and there's no way he's going to stop.
taehyung is going to fall back to depression and no one is there to help him.
