Chapter 20: Blackmail

Shivaay reveals that he and Annika are lovers,thereby tarnishing her image in front of her would-be Nikhil Sharma and stops her marriage from happening with Nikhil...

In order to take revenge on her for the situation his sister Priyanka is in, which Shivaay thinks happened because of Annika, he gets married to her blackmailing her that he would reveal the truth of her mother being the mistress of a rich man to Gauri...

Shivaay then refuses to accept the marriage and breaks the mangalsutra and leaves saying he would never accept this marriage and that to the whole world she would be his mistress just like his mother...

Broken Annika goes back home only to be ridiculed by her chachi and the chawl wale, unable to stand all this humiliation she decides to leave the chawl with her sister...

Meanwhile Priyanka wakes up from her coma and Shivaay is relieved...She tells him the truth that she had gotten into the accident when she went after Daksh who had ran away from their wedding...

later on Shivaay contemplates on everything Priyanka informed him about Daksh and goes through the security tapes and comes to know that Annika was really right about Daksh...He receives an envelope from Annika containing all the documents necessary to convict Daksh...

A drunk Khanna arrives at OM and accuses Shivaay of ruining his muh boli behen Annika's life...

Torn with remorse Shivaay goes to the chawl to meet her and hears Annika's chachi and the chawl wale demeaning her character...Realizing the damage that his thoughtless actions had caused he confesses that he did all that to break Annika's marriage with Nikhil...

Shivaay tells them that he was in love with Annika and tried to woo her but she kept rejecting him as she was engaged with Nikhil...So in order to break this marriage he had used those videos in such a way that everybody would think there was something going on between him and Annika...

Later on the crowd dispersed after being convinced that Shivaay was the one who played underhanded games to get Annika and that they were misunderstanding the poor girl...Shivaay threatens chachi to stay out of Annika's life and that he wouldn't mind killing her if she ever interfered with Annika's life or dared to hurt her...

As he was going out of the chawl disappointed he meets Khanna who realizes that Shivaay was repenting for what he did and wanted to make amends...Khanna decides to help Shivaay when he promises him that ultimately it would be upto Annika to make the decision to forgive him or to reject him...

Meanwhile Annika and Gauri rents a house and moves in...Gauri asks her sister what really happened after she left with Shivaay and Annika tells her that she and Shivaay went to meet Priyanka who was in coma...Annika doesn't tell Gauri anything about the marriage...

Unable to find the whereabouts of Annika,
Taking help from Khanna's mom, and finds that she wouldn't leave Mumbai...And gradually he reaches Annika's house...

He apologizes and asks her to give him chance to make amends to which Annika replies that he doesn't have to as she has already accepted his apology readily...She asks him to keep her out of Daksh's trial as she doesn't want people to question her character again...As they would only blame her for everything saying that she must have been assaulted as she must have tried to entice him because he was rich...
