The Day I Got Famous

It was just a typical day here in Idaho Falls. I remember that day exactly. I was sitting in my math class uploading one of my videos to my YouTube channel that only had nine subscribers. My math teacher was rambling on and on about scale factors and different types of triangles. I'm a Sophomore at Frontline Academy. Typical sophomores at the other "normal" high schools would just now be learning how to use a protractor, but at this school-where it's anything but normal-we're learning Algebra and Geometry all in one. My computer dings meaning my video just finished uploading. Yay. I look at all of the videos I have made in the past. Two vlogs, five short films, two songs, a PSA and fifteen episodes of a TV show series I had made with my friends. It was called The Waynehood Diaries. It was about this girl and her older brother. Isabella and Connor. It seemed like a really good idea when we were making it. It seemed fun. Looking at it now, it seems really stupid. I was about to delete them all when the intercom came on. "Abigail Winters, please come to the office please. Abigail Winters please come to the office." The whole class looked at me. "It's Abby" I mumbled under my breath. Abigail is my full name so I don't understand why I get so mad when people say that instead of Abby. I get up and start walking over to the door. I open the door and start making my way down to the office.

In the office is Mrs. Robinson, the one who makes all the announcements and helps control the attendance of all 491 students here, and another man. He looked like he was in his thirties. He was wearing a black and white Mickey Mouse suit jacket, a dress shirt, black tie and his hair was combed back. The jacket should've been my hint. I walked into the office and all of a sudden the man turned around and looked at me. He smiled really big and started to approach me. "Hello, Ms. Winters," He reached his hand out for me to shake. We shook hands. He continued, "I'm Kenny Green, I'm the manager of Disney Channel headquarters in Burbank, California. I saw your videos and they really caught my attention. " I was so confused for a second. "Which ones?" I asked. "Your TV show! The Waynewood Diaries! So I watched them and they really caught my attention! I showed them to the board and they loved it! They were wondering if you and your cast would be able to come to California and make your show a real thing!" I froze. Never in my entire existence have I ever been so confused. "Huh?" I asked. Those were the only words that could come out of my mouth. "Do you and your cast want to come to California and make The Waynehood Diaries a real show to air on Disney Channel?" I was still staring at him blankly. "Um, my cast isn't really about that 'getting famous' life. Also, I'm a Sophomore! I can't leave school just to be a TV actress. Plus, my parents would never agree." "Well, we already stopped by your house and talked to your parents and they said to ask you." Now I was starting to get scared. "How'd you know where I lived?" "You're not the most secret person out there." He answered. Then I started thinking. "I mean...." I started to really consider this. I've wanted to be a Disney star since I was, like, nine. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to make everything I ever dreamed of come true.
