As soon as I get home, I go upstairs and change into something comfy. The sun is beginning to rise, so I know there's no point in sleeping. What an eventful day I had. Deciding that this all was too much for me to take in, I go to sleep anyway.

I climb into bed and wait for sleep to drag me under. My body has probably had enough rest for today, but I am mentally beat. I roll around in bed, trying to find a comfortable position. In the end, I give up and just close my eyes, hoping for the best. Sure enough, that was all I needed to doze off.

I wake up a few hours later. I roll over to see the time; 10:00 AM. Who the heck wakes up this early on a Saturday? Oh well. Since I can't sleep anymore, I get out of my bed and go on to finish my morning routine.

I change into sweats and a t-shirt when I'm done, and go downstairs for breakfast. As I'm going down, a thought crosses my head, and stops me in my tracks.

My birthday is in a few days, and I just remembered this now. I'm usually bugging everyone about it a month before. Oh well, must be all this excitement with finding my mates and what not. I get to the kitchen and start absentmindedly making my breakfast. As I was eating my toast, I hear a knock at the door. Who in their right mind would be bothering other people at 10:30 in the morning? On a Saturday?

I sluggishly walk out of the kitchen, almost tripping on the threshold. I'm not even properly awake yet, how am I supposed to be attending visitors. I'm still in sweats for crying out loud.

I open the door with a scowl on my face, and there stands in all his ego Adam.

Great, why is he here?

"Can I help you?" I ask with eyes half closed.

"You don't look happy to see me," he feigns hurt.

"Goody, you found out on your own. Saves me the trouble."

"Why do you hate me so much?" he asks genuinely.

"Well how else do you expect me to react to someone who took me against my will, held me hostage, and told me how I was destined to be theirs?"

"Ok fine. But you are destined to be mine. Which is what brought me here." Well at least he admitted to his crime.

"It would help if you actually told me why you were here instead of just standing there," I point out rather rudely.

"Well, I just wanted to see you. I felt bad about yesterday, and I was concerned about your health. I know that you just got your wolf yesterday, because mine was jumping in joy and going on and on and on about it. So, how are you?"

"Tired."

"Oh yes, don't worry about that, its normal since your wolf just showed up. But soon you'll ge-"

"No, like I just woke up. I'm not even awake yet, and I have people at my door. And it's cold outside."

I am not a morning person, but you can probably already see that. My dad on the other hand, is another story.

"Good morning Ani! Did you make breakfa-" my dad says but stops as he comes down the stairs and sees Adam at the door step.

"Oh, we have a guest. Well, we weren't expecting anybody to come at this hour, so my apologies for not being able to treat you properly," my dad says politely.

"Oh no sir. I'm sorry that I came this early. I just wanted to check on Ani to see if she was ok." Adam replied.

"Of course. Why don't you come inside of staying out in the cold?"
