After about 3 hours of very diligent working, I have somehow managed to finish all my work. I had called up Jamie, but she was still not done.

Bored, I spin around in my chair while I look at all the things in my room, wondering what I could possibly do. All I can do it feel pity for myself because of my apparent lack of ability to entertain myself. Not wanting to go mad from boredom, I decide to ask my dad for Jace’s number.

“DAAAAAAAAD!! Where are you!!!!!” I scream from my room. My lazy self didn’t want to go search for him. I do feel a little bad that I have to make the old man walk all the way here.

“What do you want? I was trying to sleep.” My dad looked as grumpy as he sounds. I laugh as I get up from my chair and hug my dad.

“Dad you love me. Anyways, I called you to see if you had Jace’s number by any chance. I’m bored out of my mind.”

My dad sighs, and hugs me briefly before breaking off to go retrieve what I had asked for. I go and sit on my bed while I wait. My dad appears 5 minutes later holding a strip of paper.

“Here. This has Jace’s cell phone number on it. Don’t be sending each other nudes or anything. Even if you’re mates, please respect yourselves,” my dad said with complete seriousness. I glared at him before I walked up to him and snatched the paper out of his hands and closed the door on his face. I could hear him snicker before he walked away.

I go back to my bed and just stare at the piece of paper, wondering why on earth I had decided to call Jace of all people. I mean, not that he was a bad person, but I had just seem him a few hours back. And made out with his enemy.

Pushing away all second thoughts, I reach for my phone. I slowly dial the numbers and put the phone to my ear as I wait for him to pick up. Not too long after, I hear a deep masculine voice.

“Hello?”

I gulp back my nervousness and reply.

“Hello? Is this Jace?”

“Ani? Is this you?”

“Yeah, sorry if I’m bothering you. I was just bored.”

“NO!! No, no not at all. In fact I’m free. Would you like to do something?”

“Well, I don’t have anything on my mind in particular. I was just bored out of my mind and thought I’d call you up.”

“Well don’t worry, I’ll come pick you up and we’ll do something at the palace,” he offers, and I don’t have it in me to decline. We exchange our farewells and hang up. I quickly tell my dad about our plans, and obviously he agrees.

I dress up comfortably, wearing a pair of leggings and a long sweater with a scarf.

I make my way downstairs to see that Jace was already inside talking with my dad. They both saw me and flashed equally bright smiles at me. I got to the bottom of the stairs.

“Be safe kids. Take care of my daughter Jace,” my dad. Jace laughed and nodded, before taking my hand and leading me out the door and down the porch stairs to his fancy schmancy sports car. I can’t help but raise my eyebrows in awe, earning a good chuckle from Jace.

“Does that mean my car has your approval?” he asked.

“Yes, yes it does,” I replied smugly.

He opens the passenger door for me, helping me in before he races to the other side and gets in the car in a flash. He starts up the engine and he drives us out of the driveway and onto the street.
