The song has nothing to do with the chapter, I just love it too much. Thank you for waiting, I owe you. As a token of my gratitude, I tried to make this as long as possible. I REALLY enjoy reading your comments, they make my day. LOVE YOU!!!!

There he was, standing in all his glory. A smoldering hot vampire king is standing outside my door, and all I can think about is why he isn’t sparkling. Damn you Twilight.

“Hi. Umm, sorry for randomly popping up like this. I just wanted to make sure you were ok after yesterday,” he says quietly. Oh, what a gentleman, making me melt just by looking at me.

“Uh yeah, it’s all good. Here, why don’t you come inside?”

I move aside so that he can come in. The second he does, he freezes. I give him a puzzled look, but his attention isn’t on me for him to notice. I follow his gaze to a certain shell shocked werewolf. Oh…right. My two mates haven’t met before. Why do I have the strangest feeling that this isn’t going to turn out well? I certainly didn’t think about this at all when I invited Jace into the house. At least we can get it over with now so that I don’t have to later.

“Uh, Ani? Who is that? And why does he smell like werewolf?” asks a cautious Jace.

“Ok. I know that the both of you want an introduction. And you’ll get one. Just come into the living room, and take a seat.” If I survive this, I’ll shave myself bald.

Jokes.

“You won’t actually do that…right? You’d look really weird bald. And what is going to happen that could be so bad?” I completely forgot that Jace could read my mind. I quickly put up my wall, glared at him, and ran to the kitchen to get my dad.

“Dad!! Get up, I need your help.”

He looks helpless as he suddenly loses his newspaper and is being pushed out of the kitchen towards the living room.

“What? Why? What happened? What are you so excited ab- ooooooooh. Oh no.” My dad understood it all when he took in the 2 guests currently sitting in the living room giving each other curious glances.

Jace and Adam are sitting on opposite sides of the couch. Peeking at each other like curious little children checking out the new kid in class.

“I guess the coffee was too strong for me to smell Jace’s presence. My apologies Jace. It’s too early on a Saturday morning for me to look decent. Excuse my appearance. If I had known beforehand you were coming I would’ve prepared myself. So how is you father doing? I know I just saw him yesterday, but a lot can happen in a few hours. And I was just curious.” And my dad continues to just blab on about nonsense. It didn’t take a half-wit to realize that he was just trying to kill time until Jace had to leave to avoid a messy confrontation between Jace and Adam. But, I know that I shouldn’t delay this.

“Ehm. Dad. Please stop word vomiting. Just take a seat and referee the conversation that we’re about to have so that nothing violent will happen. And before you say anything, yes this is very necessary. It’s going to happen anyway, might as well do it now.” My dad grunts but complies, and goes to sit in his favourite armchair. I make my way to stand behind the coffee table, my back facing the exit of the living room. Jace and Adam are occupying the couch on the other side of the table.

“Ok. Now both of you have to promise me that you won’t get mad no matter what. If you do, I will kick you out, and I will never see you again. I also don’t want you to utter a single word until I say so. Consequences for doing so will be the same as before. Are we clear?” I get nods from Jace and Adam.
