I wake up to a gnawing feeling in my stomach. I don't feel physically sick, but more like a guilty feeling. I know it's because I didn't tell my dad that I found my werewolf mate, or rather he found me. I decide that today should be the day that I tell him. I don't want to keep this away from him for long, because it'll be hard to explain when something bad happens later on. I brush my teeth, take a quick but refreshing shower, change into some random clothes that I find when I open the closet door, and run downstairs after checking in the mirror. I'm wearing a mauve tank top and a scarf wrapped around my neck, with grey skinny jeans, my hair slightly wavy from braiding it before bed last night, and no makeup except for lip gloss, if that counts. I run downstairs, grab a water bottle and my backpack, and run to the door. If I have to sacrifice breakfast if it means getting to school on time, I will. I run to my car, throw my backpack somewhere, get into my car, start my car, and race off to school. Funny because I hate school. I get there to see someone's car parked in my space. How dare they?!?!?! How do they think they can just prance around taking other people's car spaces? That space is so convenient for me to just pull out my car and beat the school traffic. Great... As I scowl I find another space, which is at the other end of the parking lot. I will so screw up their face once I find the owner of the car. Making note of the number plate I run to the main office to see if they can help me find my victim. Making my way through the doors, I walk into another set that feels like a soft wall. As I fall I look up to see the same face from yesterday. I groan, pick myself up, and try to walk around him. But he sticks his arm out, blocking me.

"What do you want," I say rather rudely.

"Hey! I just wanted to say hi to my mate," he says.

Just as he says that, I feel a presence in my mind. It feels so wrong, yet it feels like I've just been completed, like a void in my life has just been filled. It feels good, but it also feels weird. I don't like the idea of something in my head. What is it? What could it possible be? Why me? Is the alien revolution here? Is 'The Host' finally happening? Will I never have control over my life again?

'Calm down child, you talk too much!' says a voice inside me.

What?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

'No I'm not an alien here to take over you, I'm just your inner wolf. Well, your wolf form or soul inside you. I won't hurt you, don't worry,' she says.

So, this is my inner wolf? Can I talk to her in my mind?

'Of course you can. We can also read each other's thoughts, unless of course we block out one another. I only reveal myself when you shift to your werewolf form,'

Shift? What's that? Anyways, I don't have time for that because I'll be late for class. So much for kicking mister spot taker in the a$$. I stand up, but head starts to spin, and I feel very lightheaded. My body feels very heavy, as if the weight of it just might tip me over. But, my legs and feet are a different story. They feel so light, almost as if they aren't there anymore. All of a sudden my world goes black, and I feel myself fall again as I hear a voice that keeps calling out my name. How annoying...

I wake to see a ceiling, but not a hospital ceiling. One that belongs in a bedroom. I also know that I'm on a bed that's very comfortable. Where am I? Why aren't I at school? Oh yeah I fainted. But that doesn't explain why I'm HERE. Shouldn't I be at the nurse's office or at the hospital? I get up to see that my prediction is right, I am in a bedroom. And by the looks of it obviously a guy's room too. There are clothes everywhere, like absolutely everywhere. The walls are a very sick white, and I feel like I'm in a mental institute. This feels weird. This room is also ridiculously big. There's at least a mile space between the bed and the door, which is left ajar by whoever came in here last. Who could it be? I look around the room. The head of the bed is against the far wall, with night stands on either side. The wall on my right has two big windows, and in between it are two doors covered by curtains, my guess it leads to a balcony. Further along the wall, getting away from the bed is a dresser, with a lot of men's products on it. There is a carpet at the foot of the bed, at the entrance of the room, and at the dresser as well. Then, on the wall opposite the bed is a huge TV, with various play stations and such attached to it, and there's a small coffee table with remotes, magazines, and controllers. Surrounding it are a bunch of bean bags, and bordering that area are white couches. All that is on a carpet too, a really nice burgundy one with the most intriguing designs on it. I perch myself on the foot board of the bed and try to find a pattern in the rug. I hear the door open, and I look to see Adam. What's he doing here?
