PROLOGUE
You know, it's not easy being the most popular kid in school. Nobody ever leaves you alone. I always end up with a posse of "friends" who follow me everywhere. Every single girl wants to be my girlfriend, and that sadly includes the ugly ones.
I never get some alone time, where I can, you know, do my homework or something. People just think that I don't have anything else to do and I automatically have time to hang with them. And when they think of popular kids, they think that they don't do homework at all. They expect them to be rebels. But on the inside, I'm a nerd.
Yup. Under my handsomeness and athleticism, I am a nerd. I'm smart, and I like to read, even though I don't have the time to. It's just so interesting to read; it takes me to a different world. Most of my classmates don't understand reading. They just haven't read any good books yet.
I just want to show them that books are good. That's why I wrote this book. I thought that if I included them in the story, they might find it interesting. It's a risky chance, but I'm gonna take it. So, here goes nothing.
