He looked to me one last time before leaving me alone...
I gasped, "Don't leave me!" I was clearly shaken as I sat up waking from my dream.
The images still wouldn't go away as I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and then I realized... It wasn't a dream like I truly wished it had been every night but, only a memory. A horrible memory that played throughout my mind like... Like the broken record Oberon had told me about. It apparently played music from placing a needle on some sort of round plate thing... It's been 4 months since he left and I hadn't heard a word from him since. It was like he never existed in my life and it terrifies me.
'What if he forgot about me by now? I was the one that told him to leave... Why did I do that? Why couldn't I have just kept my mouth shut and continued to act like nothing was bothering me. I wish this was all but, a terrible nightmare I could wake up from. This is all my fault.' My dried tears had stuck to my face as I tried to wipe them away with my sleeves. With little to no success at all I ended up getting ready early to head to my clinic.
I didn't mean it... What I said and no matter how many times I repeat those words to myself... It's not like he could hear me anyways. I walked towards my washroom to cleanse my face away from the exhaustion it's been facing from countless of sleepless nights. But, no I didn't truly mean it. I was just hurt. Hurt that I couldn't be with him the way I wanted too. I was being selfish. I didn't want him to leave me yet I couldn't stand the pain of being second to his wife. All I wanted was to be his wife... His only wife.
'Funny how things turn out. Your first in someone's life and it feels like a dream but, only for a moment because reality ends up throwing you away like a broken toy.'
Braiding my hair back I got ready for the day. I put on my coat for this chilly weather outside and slipped my shoes on. I was half way out the door before a searing pain soared through my abdomen.
"Ah!" I took a sharp breath clutching on to my stomach and the door frame all at once. At first I thought someone had thrown some kind of spell at me but when I saw no one around, I quickly came to realize this pain wasn't in fact my own but... Oberon's.
My senses finally came too after the pain subsided and I was already racing out my front door to where I could feel Oberon's energy the strongest... That ended up leading straight to his castle and I was at the front gates trying to get past only to be stopped by guards.
"I demand you let me through! Do you have any idea who I am?!" Of course they didn't.. No one remembers me anymore. Yet I tried.
"Sorry, we can't let you pass." The one holding me, spiky green hair and a slim face tried to push me backwards. I only screamed at him to let me through but, to no avail. They weren't listening.
"You think she's drunk?" The other guard who had long purple hair tied into a bun asked. His green eyes showed boredom while the others orange eyes showed hints of annoyance.
"Probably." They sounded like they've seen this type of behavior all before which was making it even tougher to get through.
"You don't understand-" I was cut off by a familiar voice that had me relax just a bit.
"Lay your hands off of her." Shannon glared at the two men to which they shrunk a bit at her ferocity.
I felt saved as I listened to my closest friends voice speak from behind me.
