Chapter 3

BEEP!!!  BEEP!!!  BEEP!!!  BEEP!!!!

What’s that sound? Uhh… My brain was dead. I was in a deep sleep, the kind that nothing can reach you, but apparently the stupid sound did. Groaning, I slowly opened my heavy eyelids. It was pitch black. Reaching my phone, I saw what time it was, 11:45… wait! 11:45?! I had to be at the stupid 1D signing at 12:00!

I quickly got up and using my super awesome ninja skills, I got my duffle bag and started packing. Hey, if I was suppose to live with One Direction, I needed some clothes! I know what you’re thinking. ‘Why didn’t you pack yesterday?’ Well, I was, but then I was super tired and I just fell asleep. I quickly got all of the clothes that I will need and when I was done, I just ditched the shower because if you haven’t noticed, I was running late. I also stayed in my clothes from yesterday, some denim shorts and this loose fitting gray/ green shirt. I put on my white high-tops, brushed my teeth, and got the case that held my guitar. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that I play the guitar? Well, I do. I got my guitar around one shoulder and my duffle bag around the other and ran out of the house. I started running to the building where the signing was suppose to be. I didn’t take my car because, I don’t have a car. ‘WHAT! But I thought you said you were rich!?’ Well, my Dad doesn’t want to give me a car because he says I have to ‘earn it’. Like, for example, yesterday he said that if I did this job correctly, I might get a car.

Might…

I ran through most of town, considering that my house was at point A and the signing was at point –Z, my legs were going at full force. I was already used to running to places when I was late. Like for school. It was only like three blocks away and I would always walk to school, or run if I just completely forgot we had to go to a hell every morning. No but seriously, my Dad insisted on taking the bus, but waking up at 6 a.m. just to catch a bus that leaves at seven thirty so that I can arrive at school before it starts at eight, was just too much work and I’d rather just not.

Half way there, I realized what would happen if 1D (yes I’m calling them that now) actually let me stay with them. Would they even give me a glance if I did make it in time? Would they hate me if I did stay with them? And the question that I have been fighting off for the past few days, would any of them actually like me?

My mind began wondering off into a place where most people would just not rather visit. I began going through different scenarios and different ways they would all greet me and it wasn’t until I saw a big crowd of girl screaming their heads off, I snapped out of it and ran faster. I could see the building come into contact. I could also see all the fans chasing the tour bus the boys were in, and the tour bus was already leaving the building, getting on the road and driving away to who knows what country. Driving away with the boys I was supposed to stay with for the next few weeks.

“No.” I whispered to myself. I started running faster and towards the bus. I got close enough, then it chose this time to start obeying the speed limit of 50 MPH.

“No no no!” I said actually chasing it. There were a plethora of girls running behind me, all screaming incoherent things and holding posters with messy handwriting on them.

Wait a minute.

I stopped running, leaving the fans I was running with to chase it now. Why am I even chasing them? It’s not like they’ll let me in the bus if they think I’m some fan that was chasing their tour bus. I looked around and found myself a block away from the place they had the signing. Wow, I must’ve run a lot. Then it came back to me.

Oh god… I ruined the whole plan. My dad’s going to scream his ass off and never let me forget this one exact moment where I ruined his- our lives.
