Chapter 3
▌ Falling"High into the sky, into the stars, I'll fly."

You'd been falling for what felt like hours until everything just changed. The air, the feeling, the entire world around you changed as if someone flicked a switch. It was no longer cold, it was a dry warmth. The air didn't taste of the countryside, it was sweet, almost like cotton candy. The sides of the hole were now covered in flowers and vines of multiple sizes, each one a species you'd never seen before.
And then you hit the ground, or more specifically, you hit the top of comically large mushroom. You slid off, eyes wide, and stumbled when your feet hit the grassy floor.
Petite white iron tables and chairs were scattered about, vines with flowering pink and yellow blossoms mixed in. Forgotten tea pots and cups laid around. Mushrooms taller than you towered like small trees.
The little aesthetic meadow was divided abruptly by the shadow of a forest.
Everything seemed so normal, but it just wasn't. Something was wrong, something was different.
So familiar...
And then you saw that same flash of black. Your eyes snapped to Jungkook bounding closer to a path directly in the middle of the dark woods. Scrambling to collect your senses, you hurried after the man.
You didn't know much of where you were, but you knew you'd never be able to find your way out without him.
You didn't particularly want to venture into this...strange, ominous forest. It was somehow more frightening than your's back home, maybe it was because this one was inhabited with things that didn't even seem real. When you reached the line of where the meadow stopped and the forest began, flying slices of bread made there way by you, fluttering by with their butter-coated "wings." The ground was odd, as well. It was a purple-y color, almost red but not quite, like the floor couldn't make up its mind.
You attempted to keep up with the Black Rabbit, making sure your eyes didn't leave his form, but before the meadow completely disappeared from view, you glanced back.
The hole you'd fallen through was gone.
You gulped, and turned back, "J-Jungkook! Please wait!" You could not afford to get lost.
He didn't hear you, or if he did, he ignored it. The tall man continued to bound down the darkening path, deaf to anything but his own voice.
"I'm late, I'm late~" he sung, still not very concerned with that fact.
He turned right on a forked path marked with a sign that said to the right was Nowhere and to the left was Somewhere not here, there was even one pointing up, though it read Down.
Confusing, indeed.
This is when you lost Jungkook, this moment when your eyes left him for a moment to furrow your eyebrows at the vague and misleading sign.
Even though you'd seen him go right, and you followed him that way, yet he was nowhere to be found.
Ironic, he went to Nowhere.
