Frisk POV

G let us sleep in his room while he occupied the couch.

It felt nice just to lie down on a bed that was at least the tiniest bit comfortable. Even if that lazybones only put a mattress on the floor.

When I woke up, I found a small batch of clothes outside the door. I smiled, picking them up.

It would feel nice to get out this horrible jumpsuit. But I'll admit I was curious as to where he got them from...

I pushed the thought away and slipped the clothes on. The shirt was a navy blue and rhubarb red stripped shirt, but I tore the shoulders and the bottom off. There was also a plain black tank top that I wore underneath which I also tore to make it more comfortable. I had a pair of denim shorts with black leggings and climbing boots, which I just left as themselves and put them on.

I left Kiri to sleep, mainly due to the smell of something burning downstairs.

I walked down them and looked into the small kitchen on the side.

It looked like G was attempting to cook. What he was cooking was hard to tell because of how black it was.

I giggled seeing G's baffled expression. He turned to me, showing me an awkward smile.

He wore a black leather jacket that would cover probably just his ribcage, a white sweater and long black tracksuit bottoms with black boots. Rather handsome I'd say.

'Were you trying to make breakfast? Or just trying set the house on fire?' He shrugged, showing me a smirk.

"Could've been either dove." He has a lot of nicknames for me...

I looked down at his apron, almost bursting with laughter.

It was light pink with a dark pink curly trim, with the words in big red letters saying, 'kiss the chef'.

He looked puzzled to begin with wondering why I was biting my lip to prevent myself from laughing. Once seeing what I found so funny his face turned bright yellow.

At this I burst out laughing. He crossed his arms facing the other way.

Once I calmed down a little I saw he was staring at me, his face as yellow as before.

I tilted my head to the side.

"I like how you how you edited your clothes." I blushed at this, giving him a shy smile.

'Thanks.' It was silent after that. Neither of us knew what to say.

He threw the meal out he was making, evident that he knew he'd have to start again.

I sat on the counter as he pulled out pancake mix. I tilted my head at him as he continued to try and cook.

My question is this: How do you burn pancake mix? He didn't even get to the pancake bit, he just put the box in the oven.

I patted his shoulder to get his full attention.

'Let me try.' I signed. He moved out the way, passing me the apron.

I worked for about ten minutes before I made enough for all of us.

I put his meal on the table and smiled at him.

'You don't actually know how to cook, do you G?' He shook his skull with a small smile.

"Someone else would cook for me." His smile faded as he sat down. "My...My brother." I tilt my head at him, saying he could carry on. "I would see him, occasionally but since I went to prison, I haven't seen him for a while...I don't even know where he is right now..." He sighed and I placed a hand on his shoulder.

'I'm sorry. I really am.' He shrugs dismissing the subject all together.

"I'm sure he's happy..." He said quietly. I understood that he was hiding a lot. I could tell, being a professional secret keeper myself.

'We could try and find him. I have some friends who keep a track record of monsters in this city.' I sign with a look of pure concern on my face.

"Nah, your fine dove." He took a bite of the pancake, completely throwing the subject out the window.  "I'm sure, I'll see him again."

I didn't sign at him, instead I just ate my pancakes.

Kiri came running down stairs in a small blue dress with black stars all over it.

"Frisk! I'm covered in stars!" Kiri has always liked stars. It was weird but adorable.

'Real cute Kiri. Now sit down and have breakfast.' She sat at the table eating quickly. Probably because she liked nature too so she would spend hours at a time outside.

"Done!" Before I could sign for her not to go far she was gone before I had a chance. She'll be fine. She knows that she can't stay outside forever no matter how much she likes it.

"Unusual kid." G commented as he grabs our plates, putting them in the sink, then sitting back down near me.

'She's more of an outdoor person. She'd stay out there if I wasn't around.' I smiled at him although he didn't seem to be paying attention. I pat his shoulder and he tore his gaze away from the door.

"Sorry were you saying-- Signing something?" I furrow my brows in concern at him. He was hiding so much, and it was killing him.

'The offer about finding your brother is still on the table, G. We can go into town right now, if you want.' He shakes his head at me.

"They're still looking for us. I'd give it some time if I were you, doll." I gently close my eyes.

'It won't last long and I'll have to finish my business. You understand, don't you G?' He stares at me a while before seeing my expression.

"What business?" I bite my lip, trying to think of a good excuse.

'I only ended a couple.' Was all I could sign after a moment's hesitation.

"What did these people do, exactly?" I look at my hands unwilling to answer.

I had a variety of reasons as to why. I didn't trust G enough to actually tell him just yet but I'm trying my hardest. I really am.

I wipe the tear on my cheek, slowly signing.

'I lost my family because of them.' Again only partly true. But I'll wait a little before telling him the truth.

It will be even harder to tell Kiri.
