G POV
I've been avoiding Frisk the past couple of days. I can see it in her eyes that I'm hurting her. But it's only because I have something planned. Nothing of ill intent of course. Just something I hope will make her feel better.
I notice the whole pillow fort, Papyrus and Frisk made together, made her feel a little better. But I'm sure she'll feel much better after this.
I'm praying she will anyway.
I was about to knock on my door, where Frisk was staying until I heard her soft sobs on the inside of the room. This made me hesitate.
I wanted to help Frisk but I'm not sure how to comfort her emotionally. Even Papyrus knows I'm terrible at comforting people. That's another reason I've been avoiding her. Not a reason I'm proud of.
I take a breath, walking into the room and sat beside her like I did a week ago.
"Hey, Dove...How you holding up...?" She looks up at me, shrugging slightly and raising her hands to sign:
'Not any better than before.' She gently turned her back to me, as if she was upset about me avoiding her.
This made me feel worse about the situation. I left her for so long, leaving Paps to deal with her when it really should've been me. She's not a pet. She has emotions like everyone else.
"Listen, Frisk, I'm really sorry about everything....I shouldn't have avoided you like that. I just...I just have no Idea how to comfort anyone. I've just been alone for so long..." I let out a sigh. I stare at her back before getting closer and wrapping my arms around her. She gasps but doesn't resist "I'm sorry..." I rested my head on her shoulder.
She gently grasped my hand and kissed my knuckles. I blushed a little but stayed where I was.
"...I forgive you..." She whispers causing me to tear up. Something I rarely did. I sniffle slightly trying to get rid of it, but obviously failed. "Hey...Hey, don't cry for me..." She turned, cupping my cheek and wiping a tear that fell from my sockets.
I tightly grasped her hand, desperate to keep it there. It felt weird to be the one to be comforted but it felt nice. Really nice.
"Hey. This should be the other way round." I stated with a smirk. She giggles, smiling purely up at me.
"You being here is comforting. Let me return the favour." She looked down, a small happy smile on her face that warmed my soul.
'Why are you here anyway, G?' She signed after a few minutes. I frowned as she did this but went along with it. Maybe she's doing that for a personal reason or something.
"Well...I thought we could go out today. Y'know, just the two of us." Her face lit up and her eyes went wide. I questioned it then realized why. "N-Not like a date!...Unless you know...You want to..." I mumbled the last part and she responded with.
'What was that last part?' I shake my head and smirk at her. Fake, of course.
"Nothing dove. Come on." I hold my hand out to which she raises her brow. "I'm not giving you a choice." I state. She giggles gently grasping my hand and nodding.
I open the door and continue to pull her down the stairs and through the front door.
Papyrus was out, so I left him a note before I even grabbed Frisk. Like I said: She doesn't have a choice.
She needs the air, she needs to be at peace. She won't find neither and I'm hoping I'll help her move on.
After a long walk down the side of the mountain, me and Frisk reached a tree. Nothing special, just a simple oak tree.
Gently, I tugged Frisk towards the tree, trying to get her closer but instead she pulls back.
'G, this is a tree. What are you planning?' I smirk at her, grabbing her hand and placing it on the bark. I stand behind her, placing my bony fingers on her shoulders and my head near her ears.
"Stay calm...Take a breath..." I mutter placing my right hand over hers.
She glances at me, worringly. I smile at her just as she was about to open her mouth.
"Sh...You'll understand soon..." I whisper as tree roots begin to wind around our legs pulling us closer together.
Frisk gasped and wrapped her arms around me. I flushed yellow but used my free hand to lift her chin up.
"I need you to do something for me, Frisk." I say and she gracefully looks up at me with those baby blue eyes. "Hold on. Don't let go." She tilts her head in a confused manner. "The ground is going to give way. And if you let go, it will bury you in it's roots." She looked up at me panicked.
Clearly, I was lying. If she lets go, she'll probably break a bone or two. There are many different paths on this tree and only one is safe to use. That's why I need her to stay close. I lied to make sure she wouldn't let go.
"It's alright. Don't let go and you'll be fine." I hold her tighter in my arms as a slight vibration littered the earth. "This is it. Remember. Don't. Let. Go." I warned her ad the ground tumbled below us.
It was like a slide and so I wasn't panicked but Frisk, on the other hand, she was screaming like her life depended on it.
It was honestly cute. She was like a kitten.
Once we hit the ground, she landed on top of me with a thud. However once we hit the ground...She sorta refused to let go.
"Frisk..." I muttered, trying my hardest not to start blushing. "Frisk, we've hit the ground." She refused to move. Her eyes were clamped shut and her grip tightened.
Aw, jesus...I think I broke her...
