❝Admitting that you need help doesn't make you more broken. It makes you fixable, and teachable.❞
Depression is a disease which has taken more and more victims with time. James is one of them. This brave teenager makes one last move, seeking help from a helpline he found online and that may have just been what kept him hanging in there, in his lonely existence.

Tessa worked at the Teen Helpline (I don't have this in my country). She never had received any call from serious callers. I mean someone who really really in deep trouble. Until one day, she received a call from James who wanting to kill himself. Tessa shock by his confession because never she ever meets someone who wanted to suicide and in depression.
Tessa took it seriously and starting to do research about depression. Later, her boss, Melissa (not sure if I still remember her name) decided to give mobile phones to employees. With the mobile phones, they can be available 24/7 for those people who have a mental health problem or anything serious.
So, James will call her almost every day to talk about anything. Gladly, Tessa will answer his phone calls at any time and anywhere. She was never acting any different towards James and treated him like someone normal. The rest you gotta read it them baby!
I like Tessa character. She seems like a person i-don't-give-a-fuck-who you are. While James a popular student but got into depression when bad things happened to him. Their differences make them closer. They don't have anything in common except attending the same school.
I think the author wanted people to know even a small talk a small time given to people who need help it does really matter. Matter because they can still be able feel love, need. Maybe some people who got into depression think that talk to people doesn't change anything. But please try because you still matter to us.
