HAJIRA REALLY WANTED HER FRIENDS TO FOLLOW THEIR DREAMS, NO MATTER WHAT. If their dreams made them happy, then she thought they should had done just that. Happiness was the main goal of life, she had always thought. Without happiness, what would they even strive towards? In trying to convince everyone she knew to just that, she had discovered a bit more about Adom's crush on the sweet, Jane Villanueva.
He had only known her for about three years but his affection towards her certainly was not just recent. Only after a mere week of knowing her, he was sure he had feelings for the young woman. In his eyes, she was practically perfect and he had enough un-perfectness in his life. She could always make him laugh or smile and he could always tell when she was upset. She was infinitely deserving and he figured after a year of knowing her, he'd gather enough courage to ask her out. Much to his dismay, she begun to date her current boyfriend, Michael Cordero.
He had been understandably bummed out but still held some kind of distaste for Michael. There just was always something off about him to Adom, Rosa, and even Hajira. Besides their dislike for him, they still supported Jane, no matter what. They were there for each other, for better or worse. And, now, Hajira & Rose were the main support for system for Adom.
"Just try to give yourself a chance! You've liked her, for like, forever!" Rosa sighed as she fixed her makeup with the assistance of her small compact mirror.
"She's engaged! I can't give myself a chance."
"You're barely talking to her, Adom" Hajira rebuttled, notcing how he had barely talked to her since the engagement. "You're avoiding her and she's noticed."
"She's enganged and I like her. I keep hurting myself if I'm near her and Michael gets jealous, real easy-like" he explains, making some sense to his friends. Jane had expressed her own feelings about Adom staying away from her, purposely. Obviously, she didn't think he ever had feelings for her but she missed their daily lunch hang-outs. She missed their every other day talks. She missed him but she was just sure he was busy, so she had originally dismissed it.
"Just be her friend again, Adom. She's always going to need you, whoever she's with" she says before checking her own watch, deciding she's able to stop now. She puts all of her things in order, signalling she was ready to leave.
"Where are you going?" Rosa quickly asked her, confused.
"I have to change for the little memorial that Rafa-Mr. Solano is holding for Zazo."
