AFTER CONSOLING JANE FOR WHAT FELT LIKE HOURS, HAJIRA HAD TO DO DINNER WITH NICHOLAS. She had completely forgotten about it in the hours before but was reminded by Rosa, as she heard their little talk from the say before. As soon as she got home, she showered again and got dressed in a random black dress she had been meaning to wear.

She hastily drove to the restaurant Nicholas had messaged her about and she was sure that it was well out of her pay grade. It was definitely fancy and more expensive than any place she had been to. She found herself stumbling at the entrance, not too sure of how to act. Quickly, Nicholas finds her & guides her to their table. They say the common greetings, Nicholas wanting to get more into other topics sooner rather than later.

"So, nice place for dinner, Nick" she complimented, looking all around the building.

"Glad you think so, Jira. They do have some great food here" he says picking up the menu, glossing over the many items.

She does the same, even if she ended up being very unfamiliar about most of the choices. She ends up ordering a basic meal of a few lamb chops with some fries to go with some red wine. Nicholas had chosen to order a juicy but well done steak with a side of steamed vegetables to go with a glass of white wine.

They went on to eating the high quality food. Hajira didn't think she'd like the rubbish-looking food but enjoyed it throughly. So much so, she wished she could had gotten seconds but decided against it.

"What's on your mind?" he suddenly questioned her, catching her off guard.

"What do you mean?"

"It seems like there's a lot on your mind, especially as of now."

"Well, a lot has happened in the last few weeks" she spoke before thinking about how her life had been a bit more chaotic than usual. Jane had gotten pregnant, Adom was trying to revive his friendship with her, Jane's father appeared out of the blue, & most of all, she had finally met Rafael Solano and developed unnecessary feelings. To say it was complicated would be a major understatement. "But right now, it's mainly about how I can keep my head on straight" she speaks truthfully, knowing full well how anyone could crack under pressure.

"If it makes you feel any better, life has been chaotic for me too."

"I would imagine with all the talent you've got packing, Nick."

"There's got to be some hardships with such a gorgeous face, like mine" he teased with a smirk as always.

The night went on with a few laughs and jokes being thrown around every few minutes. It was truly like old times, where they would head out for dinner every week, but usually with everyone else. He missed it and she did too but everything else was more of a prioritized need at this point.

Soon enough, they were bidding their farewells before Nicholas felt the urge to ask something. "Jira...Do you only work for that Rafael?" he asks warily.

She cocks her eyebrow in his direction, curious as to why he'd ask. "Well, yeah. I guess you could say we're friends, too. Why you ask?"

"Just seems like something else."

"Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere, Nick" she assures him, offering a small smile. "Anyways, I'll see you later. Thanks for the meal" she says as she hops in her car, ready to head back home, needing some sleep for tomorrow.

"I hope so" he whispered as she rode off, going back home. He retreats to his own vehicle, deciding it's time to head home too.
