Forever and always... (Hiccup pov) *on hold*

Chapter 1: The race

HEY GUYS! YAY! MY VERY FIRST CHAPTER ON THIS BOOK HOPE YOU LIKE IT! ALSO UNLESS I SAY OTHERWISE IT'S JUST A HICCUP POV K? ALRIGHT HERE GOES NOTHING!

"woohooo!" I yelled putting my hands up in the air. "This is amazing!" I was flying on Toothless. He shot several plasma blasts dodging each one. He warbled as I scratched his side. "come on let's see what you can do bud!" I challenge him. He warbles again as we take off ever higher into the air. "yes! come on bud! Yeah!" I shout with excitement as we shoot upwards. He then without warning comes plummeting down. I yell. He just makes a gurgling sound to laugh as he breaks the fall.

"Toothless! You almost gave me a heart attack there bud!" he just gave me a toothless grin as I chuckle. I can't believe we hated and killed dragons for so long. They are truly incredible and intelligent creatures. I patted Toothless on the head as we zoom forward just above the oceans surface. I see waves appear and follow us as Toothless flies ever faster.

"This is what it is to be a dragon!" I shout into the wind lifting my hands up. He just grins again hitting me with his ear.

"Hey!" I scold him. But he doesn't seem to care. He just begins to spiral. I think I'm going to be sick. Then thankfully he stops. "thanks for that bud!" I say sarcastically. Just then I felt something zoom past me as I hear an all too well known laugh.

My senses kick in. I push my pegged leg down on the pedal as Toothless' tail changes position, and just like that we soar forward.

I look over to the blue Nadder now beside us. I see Astrids grin fade as she notices she's going to get beaten again haha. She just won't quit!

I carry on towards the finishing line landing smoothly. A few moments later and she lands beside me. I hop off of Toothless.

"Nice of you to show up m'lady!" I smirk. M'lady is the nickname I call her she finds it very annoying so that's why it kinda stuck.

"Meh, you just had a lot more practice..." she replied.

"sure, sure!" I say sarcastically. She then hops off of Stormfly and walks over to me hitting me hard on the shoulder.

"Ow!" I groan "what was that for?"

"winning!" she grins shaking her fist. She then comes closer as our lips meet for a split second.

"And that?" I ask blushing.

"for everything else!" she grins at me. I know what you're thinking me and Astrid we must he together right? Wrong! We're only really friends I mean she kisses me yeah but we're not really together. Although I'm not saying that I wouldn't want to be but, I guess I don't think she wants to be. But yeah I'm used to it so alls good.

"so what you been up to m'lady?" I ask.

"will you stop calling me that?!" she pouts sharpening her axe. Gosh she's so cute when she does that, not the sharpening of the axe no that just scares me, I mean the pouting!

"nope!" I reply. She glares at me and points her well sharpened axe at my neck. "fine! fine!" I say putting my hands up in defeat. "m'lady" I mumble quietly but it seems like she heard me. I begin running around the island desperate to get away.

"come back here Haddock!" she threatened throwing her axe it hit a tree a few millimetres away from my head. I gulped. "sorry, sorry, it's just cute..." I say.

"well it's annoying, and embarrassing!" she says.

"Ok how about another race to cheer you up?"

"oh you're on!" I knew that would stop her rage. She loves a good dragon race. I hop on Toothless whilst she hops on Stormfly.

"Prepare to eat my dust Haddock!" she grins. Boy is she wrong.

"we'll see..." I say back to her. "ready, set-"

"Go!" she yells taking off at full speed.

"Hey no fair!" I say quickly catching up.

"quit your whining Haddock!" she grins. I then let her lead in front I know a short-cut!

Moments later and I finally arrive back on Berk. hmmm no Astrid. Obviously. I stand by a rock waiting for her to arrive. Finally after about 10 minutes I finally see Stormfly approach.

"haha!" she says fist pumping the the air. "I win! Take that Haddock!"

"ahem!" I hum her. She didn't notice that I was here.

"Dang it! What? How?" I touch my nose.

"for me to know and for you to find out!" I grin "oh and I think I need to rephrase what you said, 'you lose! I win!'" I grin. She just rolls her eyes and playfully pushes me as we walk to the academy.
