Slowly I walked up to Astrid. I was now close enough to hear her very loud insults,
"son of a half troll, rat eating, bucket..." she starts when I decide to but in. Big mistake,
"uh, h-hi Astri- argh!" I say as her rock (more like boulder) comes flailing towards me. Thankfully it misses my right foot by inches. Oh thank Thor I didn't lose another one. It can only get worse from here...
"Hiccup?!" she says before grabbing another rock-like-boulder throwing it into the pond whilst whispering something under her breath. To be honest, I don't really want to know what she just said.
"um, yeah, um A-astrid I need to speak with you..." I say scratching the back of my head. She just continues to throw rocks into the pond.
"Astrid?" she remains silent.
"Astrid please talk to me..." I beg her. She throws another boulder even harder. She picks up her axe pointing it towards my neck.
"Give me one reason why I should!" she raged angrily. This is going to be harder than I thought.
"because you may not be able to later and by later, I kinda mean a couple of years..."
"speak!" she said lowering her axe and leaning on it.
"well..." I said nervously scratching the back of my neck. "you see my dad kinda made this deal, which is why I accidentally said what you heard back there and-"
"Hiccup, Stoick didn't make you say anything, just... Just leave me alone!" she said tearing up again. Why does she have to make things so difficult?
"but please Astrid let me expla-"
"no!" she shouted, she then ran up to me and kissed me. "that's all you're getting off me... just please don't take advantage of that too..." she said sniffling beginning to walk away.
"Astrid wait pl-"
"goodbye Hiccup!" she snaps and starts into a run. Why do I have to be so Hiccup? I think as I watch her beautiful figure dissapear into the distance.
