"Lyle?"
Naalimpungatan ako nang narinig ko ang boses ni Kuya. Fuck, he's back. I looked at the time and it says 7.
"Jacob gising!" I whispered.
He just groaned in response.
"Nandito na si Kuya!"
That woke him up. He stood up immediately and winced. I guess binigla niya sarili niya.
I rolled my eyes and massaged his head. He moaned.
"Lyle?"
Kuya was knocking on my door so I pushed Jacob immediately papunta sa bathroom.
When I was sure Jacob was out of sight, I walked to the door and opened it.
"Hi Kuya." I chirped.
"Were you sleeping?"
I nodded my head. Nagiguilty na naman ako. If only he knew na dito galing yung boyfriend niya.
"I'm sorry I woke you."
I just shrugged in response.
"It's alright. I haven't cooked dinner pa kaso."
"Ayos lang. Nag order ako ng pizza. Come down after, okay?"
Tumango lang ako and Kuya left. I sighed and fixed myself before going down.
They were watching a movie when I went down. The pizza was already open so I grabbed one and sat in the single sofa.
"What's that?" I asked.
"Some stupid Netflix movie." Kuya said, eyebrows furrowed.
I chuckled.
"Netflix is so not stupid Kuya."
He just rolled his eyes and continued eating. Jacob never looked at me. I was thankful but it also made my heart clench. So ganon pala ang plano niya? Iwasan ako? Fine.
After I finished eating, nagpaalam na ako na matutulog and Kuya nodded. Jacob still ignored me.
It has been a week na iniiwasan ako ni Jacob. I was ignoring him too but mas obvious yung pag avoid niya sakin. I don't care. Bahala siya sa buhay niya.
I was cooking lunch when I heard the doorbell.
"Kuya, I'm cooking!" I shouted.
"I'll get it." I heard Jacob say.
I just sighed and continued cooking. I washed my hands and prepared the food before going to the living room.
I was surprised to see Jacob and Joseph on the door.
"Joseph?" My eyebrows furrowed.
"Oh, good. She's here." Joseph smiled.
I immediately ran to the door and hugged him.
"Joseph! I missed you! Omg. I'm sorry hindi kita nacontact. Pasok ka."
I saw how Jacob rolled his eyes and he just left.
"Are you back together? He was scary kanina when I talked to him." Joseph said.
Doon ko naalala na hindi ko pa pala nakwento kay Joseph ang nangyari. I signalled him to shut his mouth. He looked confused.
"No. No, we're not. I'm gonna tell you everything after we eat lunch. As of now, 'wag ka muna magbanggit ng kahit ano please?"
He just shrugged and said okay.
I called Kuya for lunch and the four of us sat together on the dining.
"Hey Joseph." Kuya grinned.
"Hi Kuya Brent."
They did a high five.
"Gah. Stop calling me Kuya." Kuya said in a joking way.
"Bakit po? Advance na in case maging kami ni Lila." Ngumisi pa si Joseph.
Pabiro ko siyang sinapak at tumawa kaming tatlo. Jacob as always, was silent.
"Sure. I'm rooting for the both of you."
I facepalmed and they both laughed.
"Can we eat?" Jacob asked coldly.
"Sure. And... hey. I'm guessing you know my boyfriend? Jake?" Kuya said and they started to dig up.
Nanigas ako at napahawak sa siko ko. Jacob's eyes scanned me and I felt tensed.
"Jake?" Joseph's brows furrowed.
"Jacob." Kuya smiled.
Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Joseph at napatingin kay Jacob na kumakain na para bang walang paki sa mundo.
Joseph's moth was a big O and I can read him saying "What the fuck".
I just nudged him.
Kami lang ni Kuya ang nag-uusap whole throughout lunch. Joseph was still occupied sa nalaman niya. And Jacob, well, he was still a dick.
"So what are you two gonna do?" Kuya asked while wiping the sides of his mouth.
"Babies," sabog na sagot ni Joseph.
"The fuck you saying?" Jacob glowered at Joseph.
Nanlaki ang mga mata naming tatlo and Jacob seemed to realize what he said so he sighed and began to fix his plate.
"Jake." Kuya tried to calm him.
"Uh, I mean, baka lalabas kami." Pilit niyang ngiti.
Kuya chuckled.
"Wala naman kaso sakin kapag ganon. De biro lang, ingat kayo."
"Kuya, gagala lang kami." I rolled my eyes.
"Wala naman akong sinabi a!" He laughed.
Hindi namin namalayan na wala na pala si Jacob sa dining. I just shrugged. He and his unpredictable behaviour.
"Joseph, maghahanda lang ako. Dyan ka lang." sabi ko kay Joseph.
"Sama ako. Sama tayo." Ngisi niya.
Bumalik na ata sa katinuan itong si Joseph kaya kung anu-ano na pinagsasabi.
"Baliw. Dyan ka. Maliligo ako."
"Edi sabay tayong maligo!"
Napalakas ata sabi ni Joseph kaya narinig namin yung halakhak ni Kuya mula sa kusina at reklamo naman ng isa dyan sa sala.
"Somebody's trying to watch." Sarakastikong tugon ni Jacob.
I just rolled my eyes and went to my room. Buti hindi nga ako sinundan ni Joseph.
I went down wearing an off-shoulder na cropped then a denim shorts tsaka white tennis shoes. It shows too much skin but I'm comfortable.
I heard Joseph's whistle when I came down and I just playfully rolled my eyes.
I felt somebody looking at me intently and I don't need to look to know who it is. The familiar response of my body can tell.
Jacob hated these kinds of clothes. He would always make a point why I shouldn't be wearing this. He insists na siya lang dapat makakakita ng sa kanya. He doesn't want to share what's his.
"Sana naghubad ka na lang."
Jacob was shaking his head then he just played with the remote, scanning through the channels. I felt bad. I know ako lang nakarinig non.
"You look beautiful." Sabi ni Joseph.
Napahalakhak ako.
"Bola pa. Ano tayo? Nasa America? Tara na nga!"
Iiling-iling lang na sumunod si Joseph sakin.
"Bye Kuya! Bye Kuya Jake." I waved.
"Bye baby girl. Ingat. Don't forget to use condom!" He said.
"Kuya!" I glared at him.
