When we finally got up, it took quite a bit of time to get ready. Tiberius spent most of the time going through my closet, picking out what I was going to wear. When he finally did, I went into the bathroom, braving going outside my room by myself for a few moments, took a quick shower and I got dressed, quickly going back to my room where Tiberius was holding my hair brush. He gestured for me to sit down on my bed. He knelt behind me, softly brushing my hair, apologizing after the brush caught on anything. That's what took the longest. Tiberius spent ten minutes brushing my hair.

I looked over my shoulder at him and saw that he was smiling as he twisted my hair around in his fingers. He looked at it with wonder and awe.

"It's so soft."

I scoffed, but let him do what he wanted.

When he finished, I moved over to my vanity table, opening my make up drawer and began to take out the make up.

I heard Tiberius groan and stand behind me. I was sat on my stool and he was leaning against me, his chin resting on my head.
I took out my foundation and began to rub it on my face with a beauty blender. Tiberius watched me do this, I could feel his breath on the side of my face as he watched, not saying anything.

I did my normal makeup routine, Tiberius began to hand me items of makeup, in a quiet way of asking me to put them on. It was a comfortable silence, and almost kept me from worrying about my family. Almost.

I expected Greg or Toby to have come up by now. When something's wrong, it's usually them that does the investigating, to figure out what happened if something didn't sound right.
Another thing I expected was for my mom to come upstairs and demand to know what I'd done. If she did, I intended on telling her the truth. I didn't really expect Paige to come and get me, simply because I knew she'd be too busy with Malcolm.
I didn't know what happened to him after I closed the door, whether or not he'd gone home. I assumed that he hadn't, because no one had barged into my room, and the only logical reason why, would be because they didn't want to cause a scene.

Tiberius looked at me, staring at my face as I put down the last thing I'd put on. I took in a deep breath as my stomach growled.

Tiberius laughed. "Seems like you're hungry."

"So it would appear." I made know move to get up, even though I knew he was right.

"You should eat something."

"I should."

He was quiet for a few moments, I could see in the mirror that he was frowning at me. I hoped he understood why I didn't want to go downstairs. But he was smart, and knew that if I didn't eat something, I'd get hunger pains, which really are never good.

"We'll go down together okay?"

"They'll see you."

He shook his head. "They can't see me. You're the only one who can see me."

I turned my head to look at him. "Why is that?"

"Because that's how I want it to be. I have a built in perception filter, if you will. It allows me to control who can see me and who can't. And right now, you're the only one who can."

I let the words sink in for a moment, realizing that I had a lot of reading up about the subject of supernatural to do. I didn't mind very much though.

"I'm honored."

He grinned "Come on, let's get you something to eat."

I took a deep breath and stood up from my chair, making my way over to the door and I hesitated. Tiberius frowned and opened the door. He stepped through and grabbed my hand, pulling me with him. We stepped down the stairs slowly, Tiberius in front of me, looking around the main room to see if anyone was home. When we reached the bottom of the stairs, I realized that no one was home. They'd all gone out somewhere.
I didn't know whether or not I should be hurt by this, all I knew is that I was.
