One week later, inside the Autobot base Ratchet approached Optimus who was staring into space, "Optimus, why so glum? This planet...all planets are finally free from Megatron's tyranny," Ratchet asked the Autobot leader.

"I do not disagree, Ratchet. It's just a small part of me hope to change, Megatron's mind. Not extinguish his spark," Optimus truthfully answered.

"Optimus, his vileness was not slain by your hand but by his own twisted arrogance!" Ratchet explained.

"Hmm," was Optimus's only response.

"I'm sorry. I know the two of you had quite a history," Ratchet apologized.

"But the Megatron whom I once fought beside perished eons ago. The day he choose to become a Decepticon. The Decepticons maybe in disarray but they aren't without leadership," Optimus informed, "and while Starscream is no Megatron he is far from predictable."

A loud explosion was heard inside the Autobot base, "Decepticons! We're under attack!" Ratchet yelled as he and Optimus ran toward the explosions location.

They stopped to see Raf swatting away smoke, "It's no attack, Ratchet. It's my volcano," Raf informed as he continues to swat away the smoke from his face and his volcano melted into a pile of goo, "Or was."

"Hold still, Bulkhead! Jupiter need its red spot," Miko told her guardian as she dips her brush in red paint and a small drip of that red paint splatted onto the ground, "Whoopsie!"

"What in the Allspark is going on in here?" Ratchet grumpily asked.

"Our projects are due tomorrow," Jack explained.

"Maybe it needs one of these doohickeys," Arcee told Jack showing him the part in her hand.

"You're a motorcycle, Arcee. Shouldn't you know how to build a motorcycle engine?" Jack questioned.

"You're a human, Jack. Can you build me a small intestine?" Arcee sassed back.

"Ha! She got you good," Amelia chuckled surprising him and Miko at how laid back she is right now, since she's working by herself with just with one hand and her left arm still in a sling, Amelia will work with what she's got.

"Who knew Troublemaker Amelia was so laid back," Jack claimed as Raf silently snickers because he knew Amelia was about to threaten Jack.

"And who knew I could do a wedgie one handed. Should we try that out, Darby?" Amelia threatened as Jack returns to his project still terrified of the red head teen.

"Well you can't work on these projects in here. You're making a mess!" Ratchet told the four humans.

"But the science fair is a big part of our grade," Raf informed the Autobot medic.

"Yeah, if Bulkhead doesn't help me finish this model of our solar system," Miko agreed with Raf.

"Oh? And what does Bulkhead know of your solar system? Or Bumblebee of your volcanoes? Or-" Ratchet was interrupted by Jack.

"Arcee of our motorcycles?" Jack finished Ratchet's sentence.

"Precisely! We're not Earthlings and they're not scientists," Ratchet told them.

"But the Autobots are their guardians, Ratchet. Wouldn't hurt to learn more of Earth by helping our young friends with their schoolwork?" Optimus reasoned.

"Well maybe our young friends should try learning more of Cybertron!" Ratchet retorted.

"Oi, grumpy bot! I'll make a deal with you. If you learn more about our human culture, I'll learn about Cybertron's culture. Is that fair?" Amelia bargained with the Autobot medic who turned away from them leaving Amelia to huff at his stubbornness.

Bumble was talking to Raf while Amelia was hearing Everybody's Fool by Evanescence on repeat, blocking out all the sound as she focuses on her project which is a solar powered clock. With her back facing the groundbridge Amelia didn't notice that Bumblebee and Optimus left through the vortex while Ratchet took over Raf's, Jack's and Miko's science fair projects. After awhile she paused her song as Ratchet approached Amelia who was struggling to put the other pieces of her project together with just one hand, "Scrap!" she muttered, angrily throwing her wrench away from her in frustration.

"Need some help?" Ratchet asked as Amelia looked behind him to see not normal projects but Cybertronian making.

"No, I don't want my project looking like those. No offense, Ratchet," Amelia told Ratchet before continuing, "Ever since I met all of you, Raf was the only one to get past my walls that surround my heart. Now all of you including Jack and Miko have found a way to past my barriers, maybe because I care about you all. Or if it's because my mother is missing, whatever it is I'm grateful for it." Once Ratchet heard her say those things, he activated his holofrom Ratchet has red hair with white streaks in the front tied into a bun with some facial hair. He sat next to Amelia in silence as he helps her with Amelia's project without adding any Cybertronian parts.

The next day, Amelia rode with MIko and Raf in Bulkhead's vehicle mode as they drive back to the Autobot base after school. Amelia was giggling at Jack, Miko and Raf all the way back to base and telling them not to allow Ratchet to mess with their projects again. She saw Ratchet looking excited to know if his projects were a success, "Well? How were my, uh, our projects received?" Ratchet asked. Raf explained about what happened as Amelia smiled when Ratchet grumbled that their projects would've had the highest honor's on Cybertron, "What about you, Amelia? How was your project?" Ratchet questioned.

"Second place for a solar powered clock that can hold the sun's energy for 24 hours," Amelia answered with a smirk on her face happy to have met the Autobots and everyone she meets.
