Chapter 13
Taehyung ran over to your door just so he could ring the doorbell, followed by Jin darting over to him to make sure he didn't ring it too many times. You and the others soon caught up. You turned over to see you Yoongi next to you. You jumped because you didn't realize he came in the car with everyone.
All the boys chatted casually until they heard the door open. Your mom opened the door and tilted her head wondering why 7 Asian boys were standing at her doorstep.
"Hey mom!" You shouted from the back of the pack, they all moved over to let you through.
"Oh, Y/N." She said finally, "Who are all these boys?"
"These are my friends," You say cheerfully, "the ones that just moved from South Korea. Remember?" You asked. You hated to mention it, but you couldn't help but bring them into every conversation you've ever had since you had met them.
Your moms eyes widened, and took another look at them, they all flashed a little smile when she had looked their direction.
"Oh! These are the boys! I should've known!" She exclaims, "You all are very handsome young men."
Namjoon looks down and smiles then looks back up at your mom, and says "Thank you, ma'am."
Your mom looks at him and says,
"No need for the ma'am—anyways, didn't catch your name, did I?"
He smiles and replies, "My name is Namjoon."
Your mom continues, "Ok then, Namjoon, and this goes for all of you, the extreme formality is unnecessary. Please just call me Mrs. Y/LN."
"Ok Mrs. Y/LN!" They all say in unison.
You finally find the chance to speak and say,
"I'll see you guys tomorrow, ok?"
They all wave goodbye and you watch as they drive off. You shut the door and head over to the dinner table to eat your very late dinner.
Yoongi POV
3 weeks later
Sometimes I find school such a pain. First, it's hard to communicate with the people here. I can understand them fine, but when the teacher starts talking to me, he takes like 20 minutes to say one freaking line! It makes me feel like an idiot! Am I the idiot for not being able to speak the national language of a country I now live in, or is everyone else an idiot for underestimating me? I don't know anymore.
There's only 2 people in this entire country that don't treat us like we're below them, and those people are Andria and Y/N.
Speaking of the two, all of us have gotten very close to them in the past month. They really are our only friends, except for each other. Everyone else kind of avoids us because English is our second language. I don't mind it. Back to the two, though, I like Andria. She's very intellectual, she even knows a little Korean, and by the looks of things, Namjoon seems like he has a little crush on her (yes). Actually it's not a little crush, it's a very big crush. She is the only girl I've ever seen Namjoon blush at, and I've know him since we were babies. We've known each other the longest out of all the boys, so we have a connection like none other. But in the end we're all brothers. Biological or not. We all are each other's family, and I love them all so much.
But as for Y/N, I'm not sure how I feel about her. I think she's annoying sometimes, but other times she's really funny, and I like her singing voice as well. I can tell she's self conscious about it, but I think if she did a duet with Tae, it would sound amazing. Maybe I could make her a...No, it's best if that stays secret. I don't know if we're that close yet, and my escape will not be bombarded by her occasional nonsense.
She's a nice English teacher though, every day we go to the cafe she works, and on her free shift she takes us all and helps us with out English. She's very patient and when we make mistakes she doesn't shout at us like the teachers back home, she calmly explains the mistake and continues with her lessons. Like when Tae says er instead of el, she'll never yell at him.
But there's something I couldn't get out of my head, the day of the karaoke night... When she fell on me, she looked different, like different in a way in which I couldn't describe verbally. I think I may have smiled at her when she looked at me. I'm not sure, but if I did it probably explained why she was weird the rest of the night.
"Yoongi." I heard someone call out, "Yoongi!" I opened my eyes to see Y/N and Andria looking down on me.
"You were zoned out, Yoongi." Andria said as she pointed around the room. It was the lunch room.
"Are you alright?" Y/N asked, furrowing her eyebrows, "Did you get any sleep last night?"
I yawned and looked back up at them, nodding. But really, I hadn't been getting any sleep at all lately, it's not that work had me stressed, it was just that I couldn't stay asleep.
Before, I could easily sleep 20 hours without waking up or being bothered, but now I can't last 2 hours. It's not something others should be worrying about though, I'm strong enough to handle my struggles on my own.
Y/N raised her eyebrow at me, turning to Jin and looking at him. I begged him with my eyes, begged him that he wouldn't tell those 2.
I don't want them freaking out about me. See, when Jungkook got sick, they practically went full out mom mode and came in with soup, cookies and so much more. It's like having 2 more Jins!
I knew they didn't believe me, you could tell by Y/N's sigh. But, they both took their seats again and the rest went smoothly. The bell rang and I started on my trip to my locker, but before I could, I see Namjoon pull Y/N to the side. Me being the nosy hyung I am, sneaks behind the wall next to them.
I hear Namjoon sigh. I already know what this conversation is about.
