▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪"Okay," Awsten said addressing the group, "what are each of your skills?"
"I'm a drummer," said Zach while looking down at his phone, clearly uninterested in the conversation He had curly brown hair, dark brown eyes and freckles, he had a sharp, strong jawline but a small nose and was overall kind of cute.
"I play bass," Luke piped up shyly. He was almost ghostly pale, had grey eyes and straight black hair that contrasted against his skin.
"I'm on guitar," Awsten said, "I also sing and play guitar, but depending on what you can do, it's what we'll put you on."
"I can fill in for anything you guys need me to, I can also play piano and ukulele," I say.
"Well, do you want to be the singer or do you want me to be the singer?" Awsten asked.
"Uhh... Can we let the others decide?" I asked, rather awkwardly, I wasn't the best at making choices and didn't want any arguments to break out, Awsten thankfully nodded.
"I think we should sing a small part of a song and then let the others decide." We picked a
"So, who should be the singer?" I asked the rest of the group, "let's vote. And, remember, no hard feelings, deal?"
Awsten nodded, "Everyone in favour if Awsten being singer raise your hand," Zach and Kevin both raised their hands and that settled, I was gonna be the singer of this soon to be named band.
I reluctantly nodded and grabbed my song journal from my bag. I started go jot down ideas for new songs since we had to perform originals. I don't think any of my songs are good enough for the band but, whatever. We also need a name, "guys?" They all turned their heads to look at me, "we need a name for the band."
"Oh, we do," said Luke, "we can come up with one now, or, later if you guys, would rather another time."
I laughed lightly at his small rant, "I have a few band names written down but they're all bad so I don't think we should use them," I shrugged.
"Let's pick one now and get this over with," Zach said.
"Okay, how about 'stay away'?" Luke asked.
"It's not the best, how about 'electric souls'?" I asked.
"I'm not a big fan of that," Awsten shrugged, "how about [REDACTED]?"
"That's an interesting and relatively edgy choice," I paused for a second, "I love it."
"Should we keep it?" He asked shyly.
"I don't see why not, how about the rest of you guys?" Zach said.
"I like it," I said.
"I second that," Awsten added.
Kevin just nodded.
"So it's settled, we are moon blood." Awsten announced and Luke giggle softly and I found it adorable.
We all got down to business and I heard the guys messing around with their instruments. I started signing softly to one of the songs I'd written;
I've kept my words inside of me for way too long
and this is the time for me to let it out
Pay attention to every word and note I sing
for you my dear"Wow, (y/n), that's amazing!" Luke said, making me blush because no one had ever complimented any of my songs.
"Thanks, Luke, I like the small bass tab I heard earlier," now it was his turn to blush, the red tint on his cheeks quite visible due to his pale skin.
Luke and I spent our time talking about music, him giving me suggestions about my song lyrics and me helping him on his bass. Despite the fact that we were messing around most of the class, we got some work done. The others piping in at times with suggestions.
"hey, guys?" I asked, "we should exchange numbers so we can talk about the project."
"Yeah, we should," Awsten finished.
We all passed our phones around the group and got each other's numbers in our contacts. I decided that I'd make a group chat later.
~Gerard's POV~
They looked like they were having so much fun with them. I felt jealous, enraged. What the shit? Why am I thinking all if this, I've only known them for about two weeks. You. Don't. Like. Them. Gerard. Get your shit together.
I shake all these thoughts aside when I hear Frank sigh, "Gee, you've known them for less than half a month, you can't possibly like them already," he said shaking his head.
"I know, it's just," I sighed, but still continued, "that night they broke down in front of us, they crawled into my arms when I offered them out to them. I feel as if I need to protect them, I know they're not a princess that needs their knight in shining armour, I just want to be there for them."
"You've got to let this go, dude" he placed a hand on my shoulder, "I mean, sure, they probably want someone to take care of them or something, but they also need space, they need to feel free, ya know?"
"Yeah, I just have this feeling that they did something..." I trailed off, not knowing how to explain.
"What is that something?" He cocked his head sideways like a curious puppy.
"They locked themselves in the bathroom, when they finally came out of there and calmed down, I went back in there with the suspicion that they had done something bad, and as I was looking around, I saw a bit of blood on the bathroom floor. I instantly got scared and started searching around for a blade, but I found nothing and I don't know if I should confront them about it."
"Well, you two did meet a little while ago, they probably don't know you enough to feel like they could trust you, just open up to them and be there for them, get to know what they like and dislike, all that," he did weird hand gestures as he explained.
"Okay, I'll see what happens, I simply don't want them to get hurt," I sighed.
"They won't," he smiled at me, "just have a little Faith in yourself."
"Will do," I laughed.
