Today is the last day of school.
Why is the last day of school so exciting, you may ask. Well this is the last day of school for me in the same school I started the year in!!!
This is the only school I haven't been kicked out of!
I will miss my favorite teacher I've ever had in my life, my Greek mythology teacher, Mr. Deeks, but everyone calls him Mr. D. He believes in me and I love that.
My mom actually offered to drive me to school today! I am ecstatic! She usually makes me walk or take the bus everyday.
I wake up and get ready for my very last day of school! Once I am ready, I say bye to my horrible excuse of a family, reminded my mom that she needed to drive me to school, and got in the car.
On my way to school, I saw that weird creature again, and I just simply ignored it for the billionth time.
At the moment, I am sitting in the most boring class ever, Pre Algebra. As I finish working on my algebra problems, my teacher, Mrs. Keefer, walks over to me. She lingers beside me for what feels like 15 minutes, be fore she finally speaks to me in a strange raspy voice,
"I'm surprised you haven't gotten kicked out of school yet!"
I'm sleepy at the moment, so I reply with a simple,
"Same."
Just after I reply, I see Mr. D waddle over to the door. He motions for me to come over to him. I excuse my self from class, and go see him. He says in a hurry,
"Take this charm and put it around your neck. Rip the charm off your necklace when you need it. It will reappear back on your neck in a few minutes when you drop it. No time to explain."
That was confusing. After that confusion, I walk back into my Algebra class just to see that Mrs. Keefer has just turned into a manticore... Fantastic.
