Today is the day. The day I would meet Percy's friends. To be honest, I was having social anxiety. I have never had friends before. I guess I just have to wait.
I was fully awake after I heard the breakfast conch. When I got to the Zues table, Chiron blew the conch again. He needed to make an important statement. Everyone was staring at him as he said,
"Good morning, campers. This morning I have an important announcement! We are going to play Capture the Flag tomorrow!" He said, with his voice echoing throughout the campers ears.
It took a few seconds for us to process what Chiron had said. After everyone had realized what he said, the breakfast was being passed out. I heard cheering. Mostly the Ares table.
After everyone had quieted down, Chiron began announcing teams.
"Ares, Poseidon, Apollo, and Zues on the red team. Athena, Aphrodite, Hades, and Hermes on the blue team."
I was going to be on a Capture the Flag team with Percy, but for some reason I had a sour feeling about this...
